Looking for some to pull limbers and various other vehicles. The Marx horses are, well...lame (pun intended ^&grin). I want some more dynamic poses - galloping, etc. I probably can modify harness if necessary, but I dunno about saddled horses. Or I can harness some "naked" ones if I can find them. This old Bussler piece is more what I have in mind:

The old Britains Deetail horses come in some very dynamic poses, but you'd have to add the tack to make them horses in a train. I've got a stash of Deetail horses to use with some of my Rose cavalry figures. Imrie-Risley has draft horses, but they're not galloping like the Bussler horses.

Ulrich Puchala also had some train horses in his 54mm Seven Years War Prussian series, but there, too, not galloping. Those are available now through Mueritz Miniatures in Germany, website is http://www.mueritz-miniaturen.de/

I imagine that newer makers like Tommy Atkins might have train horses, too, though I don't know specifically. But some of the other members are more familiar and can probably say for sure.

Prost!

I have the IMEX horses and they are in standing/walking poses rather than galloping as on the box and they are smallish. For the price, three boxes will give you two 6 horse hitches for artillery. Too bad the old plastic Britains galloping teams used for the limber and stagecoach are not available any more except eBay.
