Why Move the Dioramas? (1 Viewer)

Moving all of the dioramas to the diorama section is technically correct. But it makes for a very large, cumbersome directory where it is difficult to find things, where dioramas get quickly pushed off the page. Was there any specific reason to move the dioramas from the manufacturer's section? I much prefer the old way

Well I would agree in principal Terry but I can't see what was moved? I checked some of mine and they are where I put them.^&confuse

I think (not 100 percent sure) that when I was the sole moderator Shannon and I (or maybe just me) tried to have dios moved from the applicable manufacturer section (though maybe mostly K & C) and I got a lot of flak for it and just gave up. Thought it made sense then, and now.

It's just in the 9 K&C threads were moved and 2 Jenkins. No CS, WB, TGM, FL or Figarti moves even though they have threads that would qualify as dios as much as the K&C or Jenkins do. Seems haphazard. It is easy to see. just go to each manufacturer's section and look for the big yellow skid mark ^&grin

To me, having a picture moved to the diorama section would be a compliment. It would say this is so good that everyone would enjoy it not just the folks that are interested in a given manufacturers thread. I post pics of collections at times and they may be set up in a display. To me a display highlights or showcases the figures or vehicles in a more interesting manor. A little patch of ground and a backdrop merely enhances the item being shown. In my way of thinking, a "Diorama" surpasses a display and becomes a work of art as a whole. Now certainly I have posted things in the "dio" section that I did not think were works of art but it was making a statement or striving for an impression as a whole and not showcasing a particular item. Just my two cents on this interesting question.

Hi Guys,

Just doing some section clean up and started at the top of the list. We are going to try and get a section under the major makers threads to put dios so they will be in a specific location and make it easier for folks to find, as they wont get buried under a ton of other discussion threads. So bear with us are we work on things.
