I would like to see Armies in Plastic producing WW2 figures.
What about you, guys?

No. There are plenty of companies producing WWII figures now. AIP figures, while nice to a certain degree, are large, and stiff. If they were to make WWII figures, they would clearly be more akin to toys than model figures. I'd pass on them.

I agree. AIP makes toy style figures like plastic versions of hollow cast Britains. AIP is best for 1700s to 1900. Their new US forces sculpting style is close to a style good for WW 2, but AIP's strength is earlier periods. We'll see what they come up with next.

I don't completely agree with the premise that AIP would not produce good WWII figures, but as always opinions vary. My feeling is that there are enough good figures for this era especially in light of CTS americans and germans. Add them to Marx and you have 30 plus poses including long needed artillery poses. As to AIP getting in this era I would not expect it for a while. Right now they are busy with 1900 japs, spanish for span-american war coming soon and later this year modern insurgents, Sudan, FIW, Zulu war and possible WWI guns and crews. These are areas that still need additions like highlanders, dervish gun and crews, NNC, etc. We might see some or all of these this year. Here's hoping.

No Thanks.....I would rather se AIP do WWI ANZACS,infantry and mounted.
