I find the horse sculptures in WB's gloss line to be quite well done. Yet IMO, the larger matte line of horses are rather poor portrayals of the animal. I will be passing on upcoming ACW releases because the horses just don't match up to the quality of the human figures.:redface2: I'm an avid collector WB's ACW line, so my comments are not meant to be flip or stir the pot here on the forum. I would just like to see the same beautiful execution of horse sculpting done in the gloss line carried over to the larger matte series.

There are a few different sculptors that do horses, the AZW line I think are done by Alan Ball, I believe Ken Osen does the ACW line not sure who does the glossies. My only critique was that I found the horse to be quite large (at least the ones I have in the AZW line)

Good question on the size and sculptures, I found when comparing WB mounts to original images, positioning of the equipment and relationship to the riders that the size was accurate to the time period and typical horse used in the military. As far as the sculptures, for the cost, I do not have a problem with them as I use multiple figures in my dioramas. Also, without much of an alternative, I pre ordered the multiples of the recent new sets. Some to use as is and some to convert. Again, great question, made me do some "looking up" on this cold evening.
