It was 55 years ago today that Wilt Chamberlain scored a hundred points in an NBA game played in Hershey, PA. One of the greatest feats in all professional sports. He averaged 50 points per game that year! Maybe the most dominant player in history. If not for the mighty Celts of the same era, he might have gone down as the greatest ever.

Just as impressive as his 30 point a game career average is his 23 rebounds per game career average. Plus, if memory serves, he never fouled out of a game. He was incredible. -- Al

I liked that other record. Wasn't it 20000?

20,000? That like a different one everyday.{sm2}
An article once did the math, starting at age 15, up to the time of the claim at age 55. That means 20k in 40 years...500 per year or 1.4 per day. Busy, busy. -- Al

He must of abstained the day he scored 100 points. Wonder how much better Wilt would have been had he slowed a bit in that other "sport".
