New Winter AB43 Variant Announced.

The beginning of 2009 provides the collecting aficionado an opportunity to check out one of the Showcase's latest WWII vehicle additions. The Autoblinda AB43 Winter with full turret interior, a removable front road wheel, 3 equipment collections and 3 premium figures: all adding up to a must have vehicle that can be posed in a variety of diorama settings. We've increased the detail output once again on our models , and not only will you find weld beads but tire treads and typography have been included as well, opening hatches with three pivot hinging and additional weathering throughout. This product is scheduled for release in March.

Once again this is a limited edition of 300. And as we've seen with all of our vehicles they've been selling out. Also I've been making a point and will continue to price our products without any price increases. I realize that times are challenging enough without adding any more stress associated with acquiring our products, after all Im a collector too!:) So we'll gladly absorb any factory price increases to ensure our products get out to the collecting community with ease.

2009 is shaping up to be a bonanza year here at The Collectors Showcase, aside from adding to our WWII, Napoleonic and American Civil War genres we'll be growing two other historical periods as well. Collectors are demanding it of us, so lets do it. Be sure to add yourself to our four color catalog mailing list, just click the newsletter button on our website: www.thecollectorsshowcase.com

Thanks for all of your kind patronage and I look forward to a fantastic and fun 2009.

Happy Collecting!,

Brian

Re: Winter ab43 sneal peak!

Nice poses and flexibility with the vehicle. If the scale is true 1/30 on the figures you just might have a real winner there.

Good point, and your right on target. We've been " cheating " down the scale on the figures just a bit to ensure compatibility issues are ended.

I'm constantly listening to the collectors and incorporating the feedback into our product line. There is limitless potential for improvement as we move forward: I like to call it--" progress ". :)

regards,

Brian

Brian can you tell me how many of these little gems will be made in winter version and at what price they will retail at?
I am eagerly anticipating your early reply!

Sure,

Each of the three variants will be numbered and limited to just 300 each. So 300 Winter, 300 Normandy and so on. They will MSRP for $135.00 each.

We've been getting alot of e-mail and phone pre-orders. And its much appreciated, but please if customers could kindly wait for the web order links to be posted that would be best.

Happy Collecting!

The Normandy variant has already been posted in a past thread. As for the third variant, take a guess.

Re: Winter ab43 sneal peak!

Brilliant work. I'm a happy owner of the winter tiger and stug-gonna have to add this as well.
Question for resident historians-Any indications of units that might have had these during BoB ?

The information I have read seems to indicate that only about 100 units were produced in '44/'45 and that they only served in Italy.

I think it's presence during "Wacht am Rhein" is highly unlikely. That said you don't see a lot of whitewash on German AFVs either but that doesn't stop people from enjoying the all white vehicles in "Bulge" scenarios.

Interesting point fmethorst,

Maybe they were used in the Cassino area in one of the first two allied offenses in winter (Jan/ Feb) 1944?

Anything is possible.

Carlos

Thx guys, good points. It's a great looking, detailed vehicle and I like it. Whether or not it shows up on my Bulge dio, I'll have to get one.
