While I've seen a lot of images of traditional K&C DAK troops in shorts and green field jackets, I have not seen too many pictures of figures with brown tropical coats. Thought I'd share a few here to mix things up a bit. Must say that I love the Rifle Section set!

WO ,

Great Pic ! The DAK Sdkfz 251 is a great piece IMO...I also must admit as a fellow DAK collector i do not own any DAK pieces with soldiers wearing the brown coats...Must say they look good...

Thanks Joe. I held back on purchasing any for a long time; not a huge fan of the earlier marching figures. After checking these out for a few weeks/months, thought I'd purchase a set. The one with helmet has become my favorite K&C DAK figure. I plan to have a "Fab 4" for this desert hanomag's crew; and a bit different than the usual summer tropical uniforms.

WO ,

Yes , the DAK soldier w/helmet is a good pose & looks a well done piece...It is for sure a good different than shorts & rolled sleeves...I've been busy building up other parts of my collection...
I even if you had seen my after Christmas post , purchased a DAK Stuka...
@ some point this spring i have every intention on building a desert diorama...{sm4}

I agree with you! Almost all are made in shorts and tropical green jacket {sm4} Maybe to distinguish them from the 8th army....But in reality germans and italians were in all tones of kaki, brown, eventually, some very light green...

Very nice Joe; who makes that Stuka? Nice colors.

I don't have a Stuka in my 1/30 or 1/32 collection; have an older 21st Century Stuka in 1/18:

I've always liked the Stuka! (oops, getting off topic).

I look forward to seeing your desert diorama; I know that you've got a fantastic collection and a wide variety of pieces. I keep mine in a cabinet that doesn't give me the ability to make a larger scene.

WO ,

I bought the 1/30 DAK Stuka from Megellan Models it is made in the Phillipines...I also have a 21st century Stuka & Me109 in 1/18...Had the 1/18 Panther & Kubelwagen as well but let my six year old daughter play with them...Last i saw i think strawberry shortcake & lemon merange were driving around in the Panther...lol
I have been picking up items for my future desert dio for some time , gives me something to do when the wife drags me into the craft store Michaels...
Wanted to do a scene along the Via Balbia along the coast...

That's funny!

Completely understand the Michaels story. At least Hobby Lobby has some nice WWII models.
