Wood Planes (1 Viewer)

I'm still exploring the wood plane market and ran across some wood kits by GUILLOWS. They appear to offer giant scale planes in balsa wood kits. Has anyone ever seen these kits and can offer insight as to what they contain? Apart from putting pieces together is there actually carving involved?

Its alot of work and you have to be good at modeling. You wood glue the plane with delicate balsa wood and then you cover it with tissue and paint it. There is not much detail unless you scratch build it yourself.

So Alex, are all the pieces pre-cut? When you say, cover it with tissue and paint it, I don't get a good impression of the finish.

Wow! That is a huge wingspan. I would rather buy it from ebay because thats alot of money for alot of work.

It was a gift. I built the frame of the plane which looks cool but when I pulled out the tissue paper and read that I needed to cover the plane with it I said no way.
