I am going to take down my WW2 city and before I do I want to use it for a quick winter scene. Not a serious diorama but good enough to take some pictures. I cleaned up the rubble but want to drop some snow to repace it.
Will cornstarch clean up as well as woodland scenic? It's a 3x5 table so cornstarch would be way cheaper.

Thanks Chuck

I would not use cornstarch for snow. It can spoil over time, as it reacts with moisture in the air. It can also attract bugs. For the same reasons, I don't use baking powder, which can contain starches, such as cornstarch or flour. Stick with Woodland Scenics or another product made specifically for dioramas.

Prost!

Chuck...
I called Woodland Scenics years ago...
and asked about their "snow product" damaging the bases if left on long term...
they told me it was plastic shavings that they powdered...
nothing else...
it's a simple clean up...
and according to them...
it can't damage anything long term...
try to avoid getting debris in it if you plan to re-use it...

Thanks Mike,
I used woodland. I was out of snow and was trying to avoid going to the store for quick half hour diorama. Someone had said on here that they used cornstarch.
I thought maybe? but I got my lazy but up and went to the store and resupplied on snow.
