This museum is the worlds best kept secret. Located in Cairns Queensland Australia it boasts some 200 undercover mainly WW11 tanks and artillery pieces. I have been lucky enough to have been there 8 times. To be able to physically hug these cats is a unique experience. Up close and personal, the sensation cannot be described. They also have a ‘open hatch’ day once a year giving people an opportunity to ride in a tank around a circuit behind the museum. I went in a M113 and my mate Andrew went in a Panzer 1V. Andrew is going there again this weekend and will make me jealous for sure. Thanks Steve for posting. Robin.
