World Shortage of Single Malt Scotch (1 Viewer)

I believe Makers Mark was sold to a Chinese company a few years ago. I hope that's the last of the Kentucky infiltration.

Well not all companies .
We now even have a Belgian brewer, who makes wiskhy, and in a 10 years time is classified in the top 5

Japanese, actually, Suntory Holdings Ltd. It's a Japanese brewing and distilling concern. The Chinese are just buying the liquor and drinking it.

Prost!

High end boozebags everywhere sitting in their parlors wearing their ascott, smoking jacket and leather slippers are in a panic right now, better send Jeeves or Smithers out to the store to stock up.................

Yes, but they only age it three years, which is the minimum. Not for a connoisseur or someone
who thinks they are a connoisseur, i.e. a high end boozebag.

I drink Irish Whiskey. Gets you just as drunk, at half the cost, and even with St. Paddy's day coming, there is no shortage . . . :wink2:

Usually the lower the shelf its on the bigger the headache.

If you just a beginning boozebag, stay away from anything on the lower shelves in a bar, they don't call certain brands "top shelf" for nothing..............just like at the supermarket, all the junk food is on the bottom shelves..................

I'm not a Wiskhy drinker, but I like the CONNEMARA Distillers Edition

There are some terrific "top shelf" Irish whiskies, like Tyrconnell, which are single malt, aged 10 years, and still a lot cheaper than single malt scotches. I don't drink often, maybe one evening a month, but when I do, I prefer a good Irish Whiskey (not Dis Equis, I'm not that interesting).
