If TGM did a World War 1 range.....what would you guys like to see?

Titus

Anything French WW1 I'm in on. Would love it all, artillery, cavalry, infantry, tank corps, air force. Guessing that TGM would probably do a British related subject, that would be fine. Same as above. Would love to see Doughboys as well and late war German Stormtroops. And a German 210mm gun. If I had to settle for one thing, it would be the early war French 75mm gun and crew. -- Al

I would like to see the early part of the war done.

Love to have the early war French in those red and blue uniforms. Lord, what a spectacle in the attack they must have been with the flags flying, bugles blowing, and the officers leading with their white gloves and swords. -- Al

I'd go for the Gallipoli Camapign in 1915, Aussies and of course the other allied forces of NZ, UK, India and France. The Turks would go down well too, especially a massed charge. I know K&C has relaesd Turks from Bersheeba, so maybe someting to compliment them too.

I think a mobile pigeon loft would be cool.

Heco Tinplate Models did a mobile pigeon loft. I have a photograph of it, but have never seen it in person. It is one of my most wanted Heco pieces, and I think it would be briliant if Thomes Gunn made one.

I agree Al.I'm not crazy about the British and German uniforms in the early war period but love those French.

I've seen a Hachette Pidgeon Loft, and they also do some other interesting figures, such as cutting the wire, trench mortars, bicycle troops (French & Belgium) and troops in relaxation such as eating, etc.

As with most armies its "huury up AND wait" I'm sure some vignettes of troops in wait mode, would be well within the style of Thomas Gunn, and also troops coming out of the trenches, walking wounded and covered in mud.

A casualty evacuation center could be interesting. Wouldn't mind some German flamethrower pioneers, ca.1916, either. -- Al

I like early war, but seem to be more for late 1916-1918.
Titus, I also prefer early war, especially anything French. Early war Belgium uniforms were very archaic in appearance as well, and would be an interesting subject. -- Al

till the Germans gunned them all down.:eek:

just terrible. I cannot imagine having been caught up in that madness.
The massacre of French infantry reached unbelievable levels in August 1914. In just one of many actions on a wide front on 8/22/14, the 3rd Colonial Infantry Division, consisting of 4 infantry regts, 1 artillery regt, and supported by an attached light infantry regt (total of some 14,000 men) attacked 2 German infantry regts and 1 artillery regt at Rossignol. In day long assaults the French suffered some 10,500 total casualties with almost 6,000 KIA. The engaged Germans suffered about 1,300 total casualties, with about 490 KIA. In all, in battles all along the line on 8/22/14, the French had 29,000 KIA. From 8/20/14 thru 8/23/14 (only 4 days) the French Army had 40,000 KIA. These numbers are mind boggling and all but impossible to comprehend. I don't know how the French made it to victory in 1918 after suffering 1,500,000 dead. -- Al
