World War I on H-Net

H-Net is pleased to announce the launch of the World War I Crossroads, a collaboration between editors and networks on H-Net dedicated to the scholarly study and discussion of World War I and the centennial commemoration of the conflict. This new Crossroads network will produce original content, facilitate initiatives on the conflict across multiple H-Net Networks, and highlight World War I postings from anywhere on the H-Net Commons. Aside from content from H-Net, links to relevant material on the war from outside H-Net will also be featured.

The World War I Crossroads is located at: https://networks.h-net.org/world-war-i-crossroads Posts to H-AMSTDY (and everywhere else on H-Net) that deal with World War I will be crossposted there. The network will also be soliciting essays, reviews, and other content about WWI. If anyone is interested in giving material culture a special place on it let me know. Perhaps an online curated collection of WWI artifacts? A blog on the materiality of war? A bibliography of relevant texts or websites? Or just post anything interesting you might come across...

The World War I Crossroads is moderated by experienced editors from H-PCAACA, H-Urban, H-Nationalism, H-Digital-History, H-Material-Culture, H-Maritime, and H-War, among others. Along with contributions from across H-Net, this unique network promises a broad, multi-disciplinary take on the Great War.

This looks like a hugely interesting site. I can see I'm going to get lost in it. Thanks for posting it. ^&cool -- Al
