Okay, I stumbled onto this. WOW, looks like a huge collection just went on the block.

I’ve been a collector for about 15 years and these gems are before my time.

How valuable are these and are they priced right? Click here to see more.

A lot of nice stuff that seemed well cared for. Still, think they are optimistic on the prices for the items I am familiar with

Champs and Bums tend to be on the expensive side, shall we say.

Just looking at those prices, I assumed it was Champs and Bums and what do you know, it's true........................:wink2:.....I sold a wooden M113 about two years ago for 2,000.00 and was happy to get that, so we'll see.

Asking price is one thing, and final sale price is quite another.

What you need to do is to bookmark those auctions and see how they end. Does the seller get his asking bids? Do buyers bid them up? Or do the auctions end with no action. If they end with no bids, continue to follow them if the seller reposts, and see whether he drops his asking price. Does the cycle repeat itself, till he either drops the opening bid to a level that elicits bids, or does he wind up giving up on eBay?

That will give you an idea of what the current market will bear. Because in the end, on the secondary market, the value of any object is what the seller and buyer can agree upon at the time of the sale.

Prost!
Brad
