Hi Matt,

I am trying to be patient and wait; however I was hoping to have seen the Wurttemberg troops available for presale by now. I know you said they might be included at the Chicago show. When will we see them posted on the website for presale?

I like to see the close-up photos you post when the figures are available for presale. Your photos help me dream about all the future figures I will be getting. It is sort of like when I was a kid and the Sears Christmas Toy Catalog arrived and you could start dreaming about all the great toy soldier sets you might get for Christmas.:)

I would like ANY photos of new pre-releases. But yes, I am ready for the men of Wurttemburg to make an appearance.

Tell you what...ask me this again in about a week. There is a VERY good chance that not only will the pre-order start next week, but they'll be shipping the week after to customers (i.e. the shortest pre-order in history). I'll know 100% middle of next week.

Best,

Matt

OK, that is great news Matt. You will be a very busy man this weekend updating the website with Wurttemberg and French Carabiniers photos.

Having a short wait for the Wurttemberg figures to ship makes this news all the sweeter. I have been waiting since I first saw the figures in the workbench area. These photos were part of the original First Legion Website posted over a year ago. Having to wait has helped me learn patience. Manufacturing model figures is like making a fine wine it takes time, but your results are worth the wait.

Thank You:D

If you want to talk patience, I have been waiting since the French line announcement for British cavalry:eek::D but you are quite right about the wine, time and results, right grasshopper.

The waiting and anticipation for new figures is a big part of the pleasures I get from collecting. It gives me something to look forward to. Seeing something I want and then have to wait for it to be available only adds to the excitement of finally being able to hold it in my hand. Once it’s on my shelf, safety added to my collection, then it is on to ordering something else.

The anticipation for me comes in waves starting with the first hint of a new release, and then to the first time you are able to see a picture of it. That is only topped by seeing more detailed pictures. Finally for the ultimate satisfaction; the figure arrives and you can examine the figure in the flesh so to speak. Sometimes this last moment is a letdown. However, I have never felt let down by a First Legion figure. Every new series is better than the one before.

It is hard for me to imagine any figures being better than the new Prussian, but when you are talking about First Legion quality never say never. It is a safe bet that they will only continue to get better.

I guess I am still at the first wave; at least I seem to remember a hint or at least a suggestion that lead to an assumption.:D You are also right about the progression of quality and the Prussians. I haven't been let down either.

You described my own collecting experiences perfectly. And, as stated, First Legion has never been a let down at all!
