Question for Richard or Ken. Will you guys be doing any scenics for the WW1 series? The scenics you guys are doing, like for the Civil War, are the best in the business. How is the WW1 series doing? I think I'm the only one on this board that collects it. I was going to get K&C new WW1 figures but I was looking at my Britains WW1 last night and I think Britains are better. The cavalry sets are great.

jrsteel,

I agree that the Civil War scenics produced by Britains are excellent!! I have purchased many of the CW scenics to use in my Rev War displays. They are really good and I wish they would make more, especially those that can inter-mix with 18th & 19th centuries.

I also like Britains WW1 line. If I had more money for this hobby, I'd get into these sets as well. I can see why you collect them and I have to believe that you are not the only one this board who does. I am sure that there are others out there.

Hi Jrsteel,

I may focus on the Durbar but I have a few WWI sets including the MarkI Tank I am also going to pick up a few of the Hussars and Lancers that have been done this year. I wish I had more space to display these sets. Some day right.

All the best

Dave

Dave I know what you mean about space. I want to get both the Crimean sets and the Indian Mutiny. Just not sure where I'd put them yet. When my kids get a little older and the Barbies and Polly Pockets are gone, the rec room will be all mine.

Hi Jrsteel,

Can I ever relate! But I was able to usurp the office/den and use it for my stuff but there will laways be an issue for the sets to display especially the big ones like WWI or the Crimean War. I am thinking of picking up a pair of the curios from Bombay to devote to these eras but I have to figure out where I can put them.

All the best

Hi Dave and Jrsteel,

Ha! You guys just think you will have all that room when the kids are grown! My kids are grown and gone from home and the extra space that resulted is already full! Now, I need more space!

However, the free space works for a while! :D

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hi There! I have been careful to try and choose buildings that would work well for several periods in the ACW line. There will be a few more additions here late this year.
The same can be said about the WWI/II structures finished to date. As you travel the countryside in Western Europe it is remarkable how many buildings look like they were built in the eighteenth century and just added on to as needed. There will be more coming out soon and I am leaning toward a few rural buildings that work well for Napoleonics, Franco/Prussian War, WWI & WWII.
Thanks for the support! Ken

Ken you mentioned Franco/Prussian War. Is that a new line Britains will be coming out with?

Hi Jrsteel,

Now that is an interesting idea lots of Cavalry and Lancers as well as Massed Infantry formations and some very interesting battles to look at.

Yes. It'd be nice in gloss wouldn't it?

Hi jrsteel,

Yes they always look better in glossy to me.

Lets hope we'll see something unusual from them in the next few years.

All the best

Dave
