Just wanted to let everyone know that June 5-7 the WW 2 Weekend will be at Reading Airport. There will be several WW2 planes plus many veterans. There is a flea market (some toy soldiers last year) as well as many different groups in vintage uniforms. Too much for me to list here....
the website is www.maam.org

If in the Reading PA area i would check it out.

At the past several shows I have gotten several prints signed by members of the Band of Brothers (some of whom will be at this years show) as well as many other veterans.

Just a little bump to this thread, since the event is this weekend.

Here is the main page at the MidAtlantic Air Museum's webpage, for the WWII Weekend:

http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html

The page shows the schedule of events, some press releases, and the links to some of the other pages about the WWII Weekend.

Some of the Doolittle Raiders will be there tomorrow, and Colonel Bud Anderson is also expected to attend.

I've been to the show for the past 2 years, and it is well worth the trip, to see the preserved and restored aircraft, the re-enactors, and the airshow.

If you go, I recommend taking along bottles of water, or a sports jug-I carry a backpack. There are food vendors there, but it can get pricey to keep buying 20oz bottles, and it can be a hot day. Also, you might want to take a folding chair along, to sit and watch the flyovers.
