I,m reading a book first published in 1917 about the experiances of an American who joined the British Army to fight in WW1.
"Over The Top" by Guy Empey. It tells the day to day life of a soldier in the trenches. For any WW1 collector a must read.

It is a good read. Had a 1st edition decades ago when I read it (late 60's, early 70's?). No longer have it, much to my regret. -- Al
