I've lately become interested in WW I and while looking at WB's WW I page at Treefrog, noticed that practically all the figures are retired.

Can you give us an idea what might be coming down the road this year.

Thanks.

Brad

Great minds think alike! :cool:

:salute::

I have a small collection (and growing) of these Brad and one of their Trench sections, I intend enlarging this collection over the next four years so I hope Ken has plans for more Tommies in France.:smile2:

I talked to Ken about the very same question at OTSN. He mentioned A German trench system, there,s were different than the Brits. He also said French as with helmets. I know he mentioned more but it escapes me. Sorry Brad you weren,t into WW1 at OTSN I got two great deals on the trench sections.
As for the r etired, according to George (Minuteman) they pretty much are still available so don,t let that scare you away.
W. Britains WW1 are about all I buy these days, love this line.

I agree it will be interesting to see the new releases ,having resisted buying WW1 sets until a few months back, I have nearly caught up with the previously released figures and now really like this line ,but was to slow to get the Vickers gun and the 18 pound gun and crew,so I would welcome some more artillery pieces, I also look forward to the 1914 Coldstream guards ,and perhaps something similar from the same period in the future but with traditional German regiments complete with pickelhaubs

Hello everyone,
As I am sure you guessed this will be a strong year for releases from all manufacturers for the 1914-1918 conflict...the War to end all Wars.

W.Britain has released a good number of figures, artillery and scenics to date, and we will aggressively add to to these releases for the next few years.
The point was made that we have retired a fair number of items this year and that is true. The good news is that many of your favorite dealers still have these items in stock and there will be plenty of new figures, artillery and scenics to replace them.

If you have invested in our 1916-18 collection already do not fear, we will be adding to this period of the war as well as releasing figures that are appropriate to each period as we celebrate the 100th anniversary events.

We will also be expanding beyond the German and British Infantry released to date...more details to follow later!

I hope this helps a bit.

Ken, it helps hugely, thank you very much indeed. Just love your WW1 range and am so pleased I started, I will continue to add to it over the coming years. Thanks for the info, can't wait!
Best
