Here are some pics of our new iconic allied bomber from WW1 the RE8 Harry Tate.
Over 4000 were built and they were involved in just about every theatre including France, Palestine and Russia.
Our RAF bomber was piloted by Lt Osborn and Sgt Lewis
The Aussie version is from 3sqn Australian Flying Corps piloted by N Love and M Shelly
Here are some pics of both versions

This is a gorgeous piece of work. The lines of the RE-8 are rather odd looking and TGM seems to have done a good job capturing them from what I can see in the photos. The angular cut of the wings and the peculiar 'broken-back' appearance of the fuselage when sitting on the ground make the RE-8 rather easy to identify. The copious rigging looks very well done and I like the prominent exhaust stacks. The RE-8 also has an odd looking air-intake on top of the engine that TGM has done but is hard to see in the photo angles. This is a marvelous model of an iconic British two-seater and yet another example of TGM's creativity in terms of the aircraft they choose to make. -- Al

For any of the members that might own a TG aircraft, are these 1/30 or 1/32 and do they match up to the warbirds from the John Jenkins collection? Michael

Michael, I own one of the TGM Eindeckers. It is 1/30 scale and matches up very well with the JJD aircraft. I use JJD groundcrew with the Eindecker and one of JJD's German half-figure pilots sits in the cockpit. The TGM figures are a tad larger/bulkier than JJD figures but not so that is really noticeable or off-putting, rather, another example of 1/30 interprutation between manufacturers. -- Al
