Nice new range to bolster the small range of Germans released so far by Britain's, to try and balance the growing British army. Good value at $30 each. Well done, cheers, Robin.

Just saw these. They look terrific. I am especially impressed with the two man flame thrower team. I also like that the research has been done and that the helmets haven't been incorrectly painted in a late war pattern. Nice job. -- Al

Agree, these Germans do look very nice. and will make suitable opponents for the already released Brits. This new WWI range by Britains is developing nicely. Wonder if they will produce a "German" trench?

Good point, had not thought about a different trench system for the Germans. At the moment I have the Frontline trenches (still available from Hobby Bunker) and quite a number of the new JG mud versions, all of which can be used to accommodate the German side. Not sure how I feel about the fact these releases are 6 months away, especially as they are not too expensive, just over $200. Still it's something to look forward too next year. Getting the feeling already the flame throwing team is going to sell well. Wonder how much TG will do in WW1 in the same time frame. Cheers, Robin.

The flame thrower team does look very nice. I prefer this set to the TG version. Speaking to a Britains rep at the last London Toy Soldier show he mentionned that a German MG team was in the works, hopefully we will see that in the new year as well.

I agree ...poor research at the time by K&C ..every soldier is a NCO with those piping around the collar..i'd love to see some soldiers with gasmask on..

Ooo, that's a bold statement! I've got the TG sets and they are excellent but of course they depict the 1918 offensive. Their two new 'gasmask' figures are absolutely superb.

I do like the advancing German poses from WB and hoped there would/will be similar for the Brits.

Just as a matter of interest, I liked the TGM stormtroops but didn't buy the flamethrower because it was a single figure. I'm pretty sure that the portable version of the German flamethrower was a two-man operation, as in the Britains version. I have not made a study of the German pioneers but every picture/reference of the flamethrower units that I have seen were two-man teams, one man with the tank on his back, and one man to operate the nozzle section. -- Al

I like the TG Stormtroopers (agree with previous comments re flamethrowers - all the pics I have seen are of two-man teams) but of course scale-wise they are incompatable with the 54mm Britains
