Currently reading "Eden to Armageddon: World War 1 in the Middle East" by Roger Ford, published by Pegasus Books in 2010. It is an impressive piece of work at 495 pages as it includes the Mesopotamian Front; the Dardanelles and Gallipoli; the Egyptian, Palestinian, and Syrian fronts, and, perhaps most interestingly to me, the Caucasus, Armenian, Anatolian, and Persian fronts. It is all woven together in a very detailed but readable manner. I have not read very much on the last mentioned fronts and I am finding this book very informative. Also have found the overture on the Balkans very useful, as well. -- Al
