What! No more UFO and Big Foot? Where do I write, who do I call? This nonsense MUST END!

LOL

Well now I am upset. NO UFO Hunter, NO Monster Quest; I suppose that Pawn Stars and Tougher in Alaska are next!!!:mad::mad:

Well, I certainly hope so. It would be good to have a history channel that carries history programs. I know it's kind-of unique concept but it sure would be worth a try.

Watched the first segment on tivo tonite and must say the history channel has a great series in this one, the Hd segments are some of the best I have ever seen...Sammy

The first program was great, the on on right now is great too. I also have the tivo set. This episode is dealing with the Pacific.

And the London Bombings (with the voice of the Man) and a B-17 crew stationed there!

Have not seen them yet. I am going to watch them today (Tues.). History channel is running them 1-2-3 starting at 11am est. Will catch them all and looking forward to it. -- lancer

I managed to tape 4 hours last night. Some really interesting footage, well reproduced with interesting commentary. Some stuff I never saw in color before. Looking forward to more.

I just saw episodes 1-3 and liked them. Episode 3, on Tarawa, was the most interesting to me. They are well worth watching. -- lancer

Having watched the last 2 nights I'd have to say it's the best thing on the History channel in Years.
That being said, I was still struck dumb while watching the episode about the landings on Tarawa... even then the Liberal time magazine press figure that went ashore with the Marines was saying the most defeatest thing before they even went into battle.... disgustingly, some things never ever change.
Sad,
Ray:(:confused::mad::(:confused::mad:

I am looking forward to tonight's episodes. I got my snacks and drinks and looking forward to the series. I watched the three hours last night and I was impressed.

Each episode seems to be getting better than the last.
My only complaint is, for example they may be talking about say, DDay, then showing film from a training exercise.
I have to say I have never seen so many dead Japs in my life, which brings me to the fact that my dad who was in the USMC, South Pacific, told me he seen dead Japs all over.
This series will definetly be in my DVD collection.

It really is good isn't it,so much stuff in vivid colour and sharp focus really brings to life all the black and white film we've watched for many years. Its like discovering the film all over again, wonderful stuff, can't wait for the dvd.

Rob

I walked into an AllTex PC Store (San Antonio) last night and on their big screen TV was this series playing. All of the employees (the oldest wasn't more than 26) were glued to the tube!

They were all captivated by the reports and it seemed they were never exposed to WW2 History before. Bravo to the History Channel for bringing in a new generation.

Now, if I can just get my Flat screen hooked up….LOL.

Oh well, it looks like I’ll have to catch up to it on DVD.

Carlos

Thanks for the heads up, Gary. I've almost stopped looking at what's on on there, since it's never anything I'm interested in anymore. It looks like they are rerunning them all on Saturday, so I'll record them then!

Am just watching the episode featuring Iwo Jima, the quality and colour of the Combat film is jaw dropping, superb.
