WW2 , my grandfather uniform (1 Viewer)

This is my grandfather uniform, he was called as captain in the italian royal army ( even if Mussolini was the dictator, formally the king of Italy was the chief of the army).He was sent in german-italian occupied Albania. After the italian armistice ( september the 8th 1943), he was sent back to italy as prisoner of the germans and had to choose: or enter the fascist militia, or be shot. He said ok, but the day after deserted and joined the partisans on the hills of central Italy and became one of their chiefs, and fought against the " Hermann Goering" parachute division. He survived the war,I never met him as he died few years after the end of WW2 for a brain attack.
