Interesting article and how horrible the memories must have been for his crew mates with the sea taking the aircraft before they could release him.

Malta itself is so full of history and a brilliant place to visit for history buffs lots of interesting Museums and sites to visit whether it's WW2 that interests or back to Ottoman siege of Malta or even further to the Romans and further still into prehistory.
