Thanks to Lancer, Maddicus and other guys, I broke down and have become enthralled with WWI aviation, for the second time in my life(The first being in grade school...Boy could I space out and draw biplanes). I just got the retired Ertl Britains Manfred & Lothar with Fokker DR1 and wanted to show it off. Forgive the anachronism in the background, he's taking a coffee break.

Mike,

Nice plane, just think if the British had the Tri-Plane at Isandlwana, they could have held for just a little bit longer.:D

They did! See the background picture of the Lying sphinx? They had to wait for Chelmsfords Commisariat column to bring the petrol to the front. Plus, Chelmsford never authorized flights for that day, to save the Queen's shillings!

Nice photo Mike.

I could use a good coffee too. Happy New Year.

May 2009 bring you some bi-planes that you'll show us on the forum.

Cheers.

A very nice addition to your collection Mike. Thanks for the pic. You just need the other one they made to go with it now :D
