Hello all!
I wanted to post some pictures of my updated collection of First Legion WWII. I have almost all the 101st Paratroopers and Waffen-SS with the exception of one from each release. I recently added in some traditional German's from the Stalingrad range and I must say I LOVE them!! Had to pick up the field marshal as well. I know the pictures are not great, but just wanted to give an update. Hope you enjoy! :)

Those US Paratroopers look excellent.

Your WWII collection seems to be growing very nicely Cameron, pics look fine to me, thanks for posting...Sammy

WOW, I had no idea your such a WWII guy, keep this up and you will have to change your icon :wink2:. Photo's look fine to me as well, its about enjoying your collection and having fun. Well done.. regards Gebhard

Really nice collection you have there Cameron. I really like First Legion but they're just so darn pricey.

Thank you all for the comments and "likes" so far! I was doing some cleaning yesterday so I snapped those pictures with my phone. I really enjoy my growing WWII collection very much. I have the entire 13th Alabama displayed as well, but it's in another location of my house.

Gebhard, hahaha yeah I have always been into WWII, but more recently most of my toy soldier budget has been going to that area of history instead of American Civil War. I guess it has to do with the fact I was raised around tons of WWII vets with my grandfather. Such a wonderful group of men...

Hey Cameron. Picking up any of the Reb Artillery?

I have not picked up any yet, but they do look nice! Actually, I have not purchased any ACW figures in a long time. Can't resist all these wonderful WWII releases. I do want to pick up all the Iron Brigade at some point so that would be my next purchase when I head back to the ACW line.

You do have a really nice WW2 collection. But come back to the Civil War. The REbs miss you!

And I miss them! I purchased a couple more WWII sets today. I will post some pics when they arrive. I noticed that some of the Stalingrad first releases are becoming discontinued and permanently out of stock. Trying to snatch as many of those up as I can.

...yes I have been thinking the same way as you did for 10 years...more than 200 KnC figures in my shelfs, but since I bought my very first FL figure about one year ago I only buy FL figures since then...just 10-15% more expensive than KnC...but worth it IMHO....Unfortunately FL and KnC figures are not compatible in style or size, but fortunately KnC AFV are compatible in size, which is great!

I agree with you! I would rather own less and have a really nice high end collection. Understand though I am not bashing any other company. I own several K&C sets and LOVE them. I still purchase K&C when I see something I must have like the Kelly's Heroes set. I never thought of adding K&C AFV's with First Legion figures. Would be nice to see how they look in a dio.

Brand new additions to the collection as of today! Picked up the German Sniper and the Flamethrower team. The rifleman that comes with the flamethrower team has been a favorite of mine ever since it was released and now I am happy to say I own one. Yay!! :D

I am cashing in my K&C/TGM/TCS and older, random scaled Figarti to keep adding FL to my collection.

Just make sure you don't sell something you may regret down the road! I am sure all of us have done that at some point... :(

I know what you mean, but that is what kept the attic full of stuff I could not display. With a new daughter, that stuff is better turned to cash.

That being said, I have 2 or 3 Normandy sets squirreled away as well as most of the diorama accessories. I have barely been able to make myself sell anything, but the most peripheral of my DAK stuff. Also, from TGM some of their Winter/Spring sets featuring Gebrigsjaegers aren't going anywhere, either.

Problem is, Roman Cavalry Ala just started to arrive and they are magnificent. So, keeping up with "bad guys" (Germans, Gauls and Mamluks, oh my!) plus my main lines and suddenly I find stuff on the auction block I thought I would never sell. So far, I do not miss any of it, but time will tell.

I need to pick up that sniper. I've been eyeing him for about a year now and he truly looks badass.

Sorry to report, but it's too late. He just joined the ranks of the sold out. I expect more Stalingrad sets to follow suit over the course of 2016...
