I just watched this on the National Geographic Channel today...

I'm not sure if it's a new episode or has been around for years...

but utterly fascinating...

it's a 4 part story of Nazi secret weapons...
their quest for "heavy water" for a coolant in their nuclear reactor to develop a nuclear bomb...
the Australian HMAS Sydney wreckage by a German freighter ship with a secretly hidden arsenal...
the Graf Zepplin...Germany's only aircraft carrier...
the German stealth submarine...U480...and it's sunken discovery in the English Channel...

this is a good watch for WWII guys...

Sure do Mike and I have always been interested in the Graf Zepplin...Germany's only aircraft carrier. I wonder what she could have accomplished if the Germans fitted her out with aircraft and put her to sea with surface escorts. The Germans planned to build 4 aircraft carriers but only the Graf Zepplin was completed and then they didn't fit her out and use her.
