Somebody sent me WWII posters. I have seen a lot of WWII in the K&C section. I don't know where to post them, but they are kind of interesting and pretty nostalgic.

I know I've downloaded some art, reduced it and incorporated it in to my dioramas. I stole the dragons shield off a website, reduced it and glued it on the jousting tent.

Maybe somebody can use these in their diorama. If not, they are at least pretty interesting to look at, especially the dead paratrooper suspended in his parachute, "Careless Talk...... got there first". Pretty graphic for 1945.

Hello Mike,

Very nice...I was wondering if you see around some posters of Bastogne or any American Bulge Campaign?

Thanks for sharing

Rod.

Michael,

I can only say thankyou from the bottom of my heart. I can not tell you the effect I had when I read the simple words "They did their part" under the photo of the five Sullivan Brothers. The Army Air Corps Poster "O'er the Ramparts they watch" reminded me of my two uncles Joe and John who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us in 8th Air Force B17's, and the poster "Men of Valor, They Fight for You" honoring that brave Canadian VC winner from Dieppe, brought tears to my eyes. Powerfull, powerfull images.

I'm seriously touched that the posters struck a chord with you Louis.

I do not own these posters, if I did I would gladly send it to you. These were downloads from an email I received from a patriotic friend this morning.

Perhaps you can enlarge it in some fashion for a keepsake.

I'm sorry if I brought up a painful memory, it was not my intent.

Than you mike. I am looking for some posters or flyers from the Bulge Campaign, anything related 101st airborne division.

Cheers.

Michael,

The memories are not my own . . . I have only photographs, medals and a burial flag, my uncles died 25 years before I was born. That being said, I have a shrine to my uncles in my museum, and I tell me son about them every time he asks to go in the museum. I let him know that his great uncles, and thousands of brave men like them, from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, France, Poland, the Soviet Union, China and every other Allied nation, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice, fought for HIM, and his sister, and his mommy and daddy, and all of us. I have a WWII Commonwealth nations victory flag which, at my sons request, is being framed and put up in his room.
