I know there is a seperate board for the above type figures, but is there anyone else out there that collects them?
I really think it is a unique line, the figures are large, 4 inches, they have articulation, so you can have as many different poses as you want to buy figures. And they are inexpensive. When you find them at WalMart they are $5 each.
The other X-18 board they all seem to like the planes, I have 1 of each, not all the repaints, except for 3 VietNam Hueys.
Sometimes I wonder if the older toy soldier collecter even knows this line exist.
I know at OTSN you don,t see any. Just because they are at WalMart doesn,t mean they are a kids toy.

I have trouble finding the figures- our wal-marts don't seem to carry them and toys-r-us only a few randomly. I have some earlier ones but heard they got WWll marines out? It is not my normal scale but I like all types of figures except 1/6 scale which I have a few Dragon ones. It is the variances of figures and poses that I like. Leadmen

Leadman, Was at WalMart today and they had a bunch of Marines out, a few Japs, they had been picked over. I got lucky on the Japs, they had just put them out, got all I needed and then cherry picked just the rifleman from a brand new box she brought from storage.
Are you familier with the Battle of the Bulge line? Personally they are my favorites. They are still available on line.
The Japs have the best articulation yet.
I forgot, actually the Vietnam line are my favorite, but they are next to impossible to find, that,s why I got 3 Hueys.

Gary I will check it out. This last week I did not see any figures at all. Just a couple of vehicles. I think Target stores has them also. John

I was heavy into 1:18 with figures, vehicles & planes. My interest in this scale has faded though with the exception of the planes. I don't know if it was the lack of consistent product or just my own shift in interest into K&C. Now I just collect the 1:18 planes and have strayed a bit by picking a few 1:6 tanks & vehicles. I like the 1:6 since each piece becomes a hands-on project involving assembly and painting.

If this is in regards to the 21st Century line than I did collect the very first sets that were produced.Thats when my local TRU was stocking the stuff but then a year later the shelf was transformed into a mixture of everything but 21st Century.Inconsitency, promises that never came, repaints out the ying-yang and rumors of bankruptcy kind of got me to stray from there line. Also I was running out of room. Those planes take up alot of space. At the same time I was dabbling in the K&C sets and figured that they were the direction I wanted to spend my money on.
Now I see that 21st Century is rolling again but still the inconsistency of what stores get what products to sell boggles me(Wal-Mart seems to be the main supplier now).A store 15 miles away may have a totally different selection and sometimes be reduced in price where as the other store won't have reduced prices. For some "the thrill of the hunt" but I don't have the time for that right now.I'll stick with K&C where I know each dealer will get the product and I'll have an equal chance of purchasing it.
I think if I had the room and extra cash I would collect this line to the extreme.I still pick up the odd piece(1/32 scale 88) and would like to see the promised Avenger and Zero planes.Like I said I have all the first run 109's,Stuka's,Corsairs,Lightning,Sherman's and Panthers MIB.Beautiful stuff and I'm still debating to sell them off for the K&C fund.....
I hope this is what this thread was about. If not, sorry Gary.If anyone is looking for a specific piece in the latest stuff my Wal-Mart seems to stock pretty good and there doesn't seem to be many here collecting it.I did see the Japanese picked clean though so somebody has interest.Let me know if I can help...

Those days of makeing 5 trips to WalMart or TRU,s are long gone. I,ll pay the few extra dollars and order on line.
I just lucked out with the Japs, was on another mission to another store right by WalMart.
As for X18 figures, I believe the Platoon figures will be next, but when is another question.
Gary

I ran out to wal-mart after reading about your Jap figures. They were just stocking the Marines so I got one each of the 7 poses. No Japs yet at our store. Leadmen

Lo and behold I stopped by today and it was like XD Christmas. All the Japanese soldiers,Marines,Bulge fig's(where did they come from???)and single sets with Patton and dog,Corsair pilot and 109 pilot.A new weapons carrier or heavy jeep with a Patton fig and BOB driver,Panzer IV(without the skirts it doesn't look right)and Patton tanks. Some really crushed boxes with black 190's and I even saw one black (1/32 scale ??)P-40 limited edition from a movie(the name escapes me right now). Also there was oodles of new StarWars sets.Thank god the Force doesn't take control over me there or I would be collecting that stuff to....

Hey guys I have finished unpacking from my move. If anyone is interested in purchasing a huge lot of XD and 32X soldiers, vehicles and planes from the first and second series releases I will be at OTSN. I will not have them with me (space restrictions!!) but I will have a list of what I have. I would rather sell them as one big lot but if there is no interest then they will be going individually. 90% of this collection is MIB.None of the planes have been removed(all 1/18 scale) from their box and I think the 1/18 Sherman was the only one displayed in my curio. Some of the 32X vehicles have been displayed but are now back in the original boxes. I also have the 1/6 Grant(not motorized) and cigar smoking tank fig that goes with it.
If you need references as to if I'm a trustworthy person then PM me. I have dealt with CannonFodder,gk5717,Treefrog, George from Minuteman, Greenwood toy soldier's and many others. I have over 40 e-bay transactions with no negative feedback. I would expect something of the same as to anyone interested in buying. I don't want to get screwed either.
Lastly I have various Johnny Lightning WWII sets from the DDAY and BOB series still in the bubble packs.Britain's fans I have some of the WWII sets MIB that I'm going to let go and some of the Matchbox WWII planes that have been released by Target over the last couple of years.
PM me with any questions.Shipping will be exactly what the UPS or post office charges me.No surprises.
Reason for selling......K&C Fund!!!!

I have a couple of the planes: Me 109 and the P 51, which I'd like to get rid of. They are used so if anybody would like to buy, no reasonable offer will be refused. I do have the original boxes. I think they also put out a Normandy village fountain, which I have. I may actually have two of those. Same offer applies.

Has anyone seen the Blue Box (BBI) 1/18 WWII Paratroopers with the Parachutes, I grabbed the whole set. I have the 21st Century Bulge And a few Tanks..How are those Marines?.....Firebat

Firebat, the Marines are great, as are the Japs.
My favorite line tho is the VietNam series. They are supposed to come out with a "Platoon" set based on the movie.
Go to 21st site, they are coming out with a ton of new x-18 & x-32 stuff, including a X-18 pak 40.
Gary

For a company that was suppose to be in the crapper a year ago they have certainly rebounded back with replacing product in Wal-Mart and pulling out of TRU. I have seen the 1/32 Macchi planes and the latest Zero's which look very good. All the talk is for the long awaited 1/18 Avenger release followed by the Zero in the same scale which is due out anytime. The only problem is the space you need to display these great planes. Also what I see at my Wal-Mart, the 1/18 boxes the planes come in look like they went through a war zone to get to there. They are always mangeled to the point where I think the employees are literally throwing them off the trucks to see if they fly...:(
