Can anyone give me a rough idea of how many vehicles were in XXX Corps that fought in Operation Market Garden?????

one, two or three - the road was only that wide over most of it! Here is a picture of the old (new now widened) road up to Eindhoven, the cemetery along it and the fairly dense woods by the side of it - no wonder it was a struggle - the verges were often mined and the fields were often too soft for tanks.

An army corps of that time would have litterally thousands of vehicles. The Guards Armoured Division alone would have several thousand vehicles and would form a column several miles long. What a traffic mess on that single lane road!
