Hello guys: Does anyone know y Andy isnt giving us a AK Motorcycle team and AK Infantry for the new 2006 sets?soon to be released.

Also, why arent we getting an M3 Honey tank for the new 8th Army sets, soon to be released in April?and a 6pounder gun team?

John,

Reading those posts from you where all you do is compain is, frankly, getting tiresome and this post is no different than all your other posts. So, I'm posting an excerpt from a post of Andy's from January 6 that addresses these issues.

"New Afrika Korps

To avoid any confusion… 4 all-new sets to arrive early March ’06.

They are, as previously stated, the 10.5cm Field Howitzer with 5 man crew – in action.

The 3 ton 1/2 track with 2 crew (this can pull the gun) and a “Prisoner” set with a captured 8th Army officer being interrogated by 2 AK officers and an AK guard.

Finally, the first 100% all original “Strictly Limited” of ‘06 – Rommel’s Command Vehicle – The “GREIF” – this is a real beauty! The Desert Fox stands inside his vehicle, next to him seated is his radio operator. On the outside is a standing Afrika Korps soldier saluting.

I will be sending photos of these AK items at the end of the month.

On a related point whilst I am always sorry to disappoint any K&C collector who has their “wish list” of what they would like to see I have to run a business as a business… I’ve said this before - I’ll say it again… If I had to run K&C the way Mr.Gambale “dictates” I’d be out of business in record time and then no one would get anything.

At K&C we do our level best to produce products people want to collect over a pretty wide range of historical subjects and eras. That demands a spread of different items at regular intervals throughout the entire year. It also means trying not to bankrupt either ourselves or our collectors at the same time with a “flood” of new items.

A lot of careful planning and thought goes into what we do, how we do it… and when we do it.

Believe me at K&C, after over 20 years, very, very little is left to chance.

So, John sorry to let you down yet again but…"

:) Hello Brad! Sorry about your feelings; about my Complaining! But, someone has to speak-Up and tell it like it is! Without us Collector's K & C would be out of Business! Also, Keep your Vneagar and Honey, and Add Olive Oil, and Garlic, and we would have a Great Salad Dressing! Capiece'

John,

Tell what like it is? Andy has to run a business you know and just can't make things that please you or me. Do you just want him to make North Africa figures? That won't please all the collectors, I'm sure. Without him, I doubt the toy soldiers would be as great as they are today.

John, you do this all the time and frankly it's tiresome. So, how about getting off the soapbox for awhile.

When all is said and done it is Andy's company and he can make just what he likes.Just because we buy stuff from that company does not give us the right to demand he makes what we want.I really think that if anything these demands are likely to annoy him into never making these things you keep listing!.I often sit looking at the catalogues thinking yeah it would be good if K&C made so and so,but just because they don't i'm not going to start berating him about it.Thing is John that with a bit of luck all the WW2 ranges will go on for ages yet (as they are so popular)so just sit back and enjoy what comes out.Even if they don't make what you want on demand they are (IMHO)so far ahead of the competition you can't lose.I would hate it if Andy started to get fed up and feel his work is unappreciated because he is constantly bombarded with requests. And just LOOK at the forthcoming AK sets, for me no other company comes close. As Brad said before, don't look a gift horse etc.

Rob.

John

I asked NIKE to make me my own pair of trainers......................still waiting!:)

Hey John, why don,t you get mad at Andy for not makeing what YOU want and start posting on the other board. Maybe he will listen to you there, NOT.
Gary

Dear Guys,

While I also wince at Mr. Gambale's posts (v. upset when he once posted he spoke for all collectors -- you do not speak for me!), I do not think members should assail him this way. These types of posts are more common on the other forum, and I believe it is a major reason why it is much less popular than this forum. Without getting into any discussions of whether everyone in the other forum were glad to see them go, members of the other forum have been driven away by impolite and biting comments. Brad had the right idea when he reposted Andy's 1/6 response -- I also agree with his comments.;)

Tony

By the way i have my own pair of NIKE trainers which i desgined online........NIKE made me my own pair!!:D

They must know you Tony!? thats why they did not do it for you. Ho ho;)

Although i agree with Steven that to jump on the back of any members. Remember there are a lot worse things going on in the world than if Andy will make you your favourite model.

Hello again! Before you Pronounced a Verdict; First of All, you don't know ME; and know, how many Great Suggestions, and Ideas, I gave and, spent my precious Time and Money, having mailed to him Photo's in Good gesture; only trying to Enhance his Sale's! And I never met Andy, in Person! No-Other Reason! I have been Collecting for 9-Years, K & C Toys! My Collection is worth around $80,000.00US! Any one like myself , who spends Money like this, on Toys, should be on the k & C Board of Director's! Most of you Guys are Wet behind the Ears; I'm from the Old Stock! So, when you talk Turkey to me, you better have good Ammunition! When I Request , and Suggest, to Andy to make something, that is Interesting and Wanting; it would be, ONLY in the Collector's Favor! So, Like the Rest of you, I'm Only a Die-Hard Collector! If this Requesting, and Suggesting is Wrong, then I'm on the Wrong Planet! By the Way Brad ,I've seen your True Colors; the way you knocked (Mike@ British Commando); you told him in the beginning that you will Buy his Toys, and then you knocked him down; that would be considered a Traitor, in my Books!

Hi, I think some of your previous ideas were pretty good. You mentioned many vehicles that a lot of people are looking for. As for the motorcycle, an Afrika Korp cycle with sidecar in the current production style would fit into the line pretty good. With the Afrika Korp line ramping up again maybe we will see some SAS Jeeps, LRDG trucks, and Brits again in the future.

John,

In the spirit of keeping it civil, I'll just say I enjoyed reading your post.

Guys, I think we are getting a little overly aggressive here. There is nothing wrong with trying to get the company you collect from to make the items you want for your collection. On the other hand, there is noting wrong with the management of the company choosing not to produce the items you requested, after all, it is a business. One thing you gentleman may not realize is that Andy has gone as far as the prototype phase is making several of the vehicles that John wants produced, such as an 8th Army Bedford QL Troop Transport Lorry, a Bedford QL Radio Command Vehicle, and the small Austin pickup. The prototypes were determined by Andy and his design team to be unlikely to sell well, and the items were shelved. So many of the ideas requested were considered, sometimes so seriously as to result in the production of magnificent prototypes, but were determined to be unfeasable financially. The one thing John needs to realize is that by being aggressive, he is only likely to tick Andy off, thereby making the items he wants less likely to be produced. So everybody bloody well cool down.

Hello Louis! Thankyou Very much! At least someone has some Consideration for my Ideas! Please, Tell andy when you see him at the N.Y. Symposium, that even though , I never had a chance to talk and see him, I do appreciete his willingness and thrive to make King and Country NO.1 in the Toy Industry! And, as a Veteran who Serve his Country, just as I did in the Vietnam War, I Salute him with Honor and Dignity! Semper fi!

Hi John

Believe me I would love to do everything and more that you suggest. And, to be fair, a lot of your suggestions are excellent.

It’s just, as I’ve said many, many times before, I have to run a business as a business and not a hobby.

I also have to balance the likes and dislikes of all K&C collectors and their requirements. So, although you may not always get what you want, there’s always going to be something to keep you and all those other K&C collectors happy.

Best wishes and…Happy Collecting!

Andy C.
