Zulu Wars - Rorke's Drift Hospital... (1 Viewer)

Ken or Richard could clarify this, but as far as I understand it's 1/1 scale to the figures, but only half of it, with the possibility of the other half being made sometime in the future.

This is modeled in full scale following the information we were able to find. The model as produced is full length along the front, but is only slightly over half the depth. I think reduced depth buildings always look best if you can include the entire roof ridge.
Hope this answers your question!

Thanks, Ken. One more question, if you produce the back half of the building, would that include the entire depth in scale and make it an exact replica accordig to your research? Thanks.

We will never really know the exact layout of the rooms and door placement so this reconstruction is a best guess based on descriptions and local building practices of the period. If we should build the back of the Witt house it will be full depth and would include the kitchen addition. I hope we can go there, but with that stated I know that there might be some issues with the fit between the sections. When I planned and built the house I cut out the back floor and roof sections too, so they are here at the studio for possible future use. In a perfect world they would be made and matched at the same time. We shall see...
