As the mtd figure has an unusual pose, it will not fit nicely into the proposed Historex saddle. This saddle also does not interlock correctly with many of the converted horse poses. Its shapde causing it to "float above the horse's spine.
To solve this, I cut up the saddle into front and back. I fixed both parts of the saddle to the horse, conforming to the horse's pose as well as the rider's pose. Thus, all the gaps as puttied in and the rider is covered with water and gently pressed into the saddle. This way, the rider can be removed gently for separate painting.
I added back the colpack and resculpted the hair. This Murat now seems to in proportion to its horse.
