Trump is considering replacing Pam Bondi, according to source...

Apparently Trump has fired her...citing he is upset over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, and he has also fumed that she has not investigated or prosecuted enough of his political opponents. Bondi is facing a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee to testify about the Epstein matter later this month...

The Dodgers pounded the hapless Nats today in their home opener after going down 3-0. Ohtani finally went Ohbomby dropping a 400+ ft three run moon shot. His first of the season.

At the RS home opener yesterday, when Mayor Wu and Governor Healey got introduced pregame, they got booed back to the stone age.

NOTHING I despise more than a politician pandering to people through sports, Healey with her Red Sox home jersey on with her last name on the back and Wu with some moronic hacky version of a Red Sox hat on, looked like two complete stooges.

Just stop with the pandering already.

I agree George. I've gotten to the point where I can't stand these phony politicians. They care about nobody but themselves and the fraud being discovered is unbelievable. They should rot in prison.

Tomorrow, Resurrection Sunday, because all the main shops are closed and it is like Sundays i remember as a child. The most relaxed day of the week, i wish, in the UK, the government would bring in a law that all the main shops had to close one Sunday a month, to give people a day to catch their breath.

I was watching US news and commentators on this and there has multiple ethics complants again her, including from 70 Florida lawyers, retired judges, 2 retired Florida State Supreme Court Judges and Florida legal scholars. The Florida State Bar Association would not investigate as there is a rule that they will not investigate anyone for a complaint if they were in a Federal Government position, but now she has gone I think it will be open season and they will investigate her.

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee voted to subpoena US Attorney General Pam Bondi for testimony about her role in the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files as part of the committee’s probe into the late convicted sex offender.

GOP Rep. Nancy Mace moved to subpoena the attorney general and it passed 24-19, with bipartisan support.

if she shows up...I think on April 14th...the subpoena will have her sworn in and recorded to validate any discrepancies in her testimony...

she might be in big trouble...especially if she is not truthful and perjures herself...

Nothing will come from all the fraud in MA, MN, IL and CA among other places, empty promises about getting to the bottom of it/stopping it/making those responsible being held accountable...............total BS.

Between political corruption and military spending, we are doomed. They are requesting $1.5 trillion in military spending next year. Unreal. Trump should be reducing military spending by cutting off our "allies." Good luck to them. Instead we are increasing our enormous spending which provides no incentive for anyone else to have a military.

other than Israel...what allies...lots of burnt bridges lately...lots of friendships are rocky at best...

also I don't think any country believes they don't need a military cause Trump spends $1.5 trillion on ours...

and that request for $1.5 trillion...includes $73 billion in cuts to non-defense, domestic programs...

what's left to cut...FEMA...SNAP...Medicaid...Social Security...money needs to come from somewhere...

The facts speak for themselves. The US spends trillions on defense while many other countries who face real or imagined threats from Russia or China spend almost nothing. They don't feel the need to fund a military because they know the US will defend them. It is not the fault of the US that these alliance are rocky. We have done our part since the end of WWII. They have not. Something has to give.

Mike:

Defense spending is the epitome of waste.

Unfortunately the things you also list, FEMA, SNAP, Medicaid, Social Security etc., are full also full of the same.

This scene from the movie “Dave” sums it up for me:

Democrats and Republicans can eat it as far as I am concerned they are equally to blame.

But yay for me when my “side” is in charge!

The United States is world's largest arms dealer by far...accounting for over 40 percent of all global weapon exports...and these are not gifts...

The U.S. sends weapons to over 100 countries, including Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and Australia.

I don't believe any country is expecting "a free hand out" for military assistance from Trump...

Trump is certainly not opening and giving our military equipment for free to Ukraine as they are facing a real and not imagined threat from Russia...

he is selling it to NATO...for I'm sure a tidy little profit...which they give to Ukraine...

NATO members pay the US hundreds of billions for arms, with US defense exports to Europe surging as they drive the majority of U.S. foreign military sales...

and yes...it is definitely Trump's fault that relations with NATO are strained...

The days of worrying about the red menace are long over, who exactly is going to roll through Europe/is a threat to any of those countries at this stage?

That would be no one.

This has been a long time coming, we need to circle the wagons and worry about ourselves first and foremost.

I'm sure if all of Europe combined their militaries, they could ward off whoever is a threat to them in the future; two bicycles, a sling shot and a butter knife should do the trick.

Show me FEMA, SNAP, Medicaid, Social Security and wellfare and I'll show you fraud waiting to happen, it's way too easy to work the system.

A small sample size, but my sister has a friend who claims to make peanuts at his job/is living paycheck to paycheck, he lives in a luxury apartment building and pays 1500.00 a month for rent, others in his building pay twice that, he's on Mass Health which pays for his health insurance, meanwhile he drives a BMW, goes on vacations all the time and ls living the life..............has never been audited by the state to make sure he's eligible for those benefits, has been getting away with it for over 10 years, this state is more concerned with making sure ICE gets blocked here and illegals roam our streets as a sanctuary state and is taking away gas stoves and gas heat because we're a green state that cares about the environment.

Meanwhile at the RS home opener, the governor and mayor of Boston got booed back to the stone age, but they need not worry, those two will win again come election time, they give out too many handouts to ever get voted out.

As I've pointed out already, anyone who thinks something will come from all the fraud they are finding in MN, IL, CA and other states is kidding themselves..............Walz and others will skate and never see a dime in fines or a day behind bars.

George...there is fraud in every section of the government that handles money...

both Republican and Democratic...

you seem to dwell only on MN...IL...CA...only blue states...

but you never mention Noem's and her incredible waste of sweetheart money contracts on ads and buying luxury jets...

or Corey Lewandowski's under the table cash bribes in his pocket for detention center bids and contracts...

or Patel using tax payer's money to fly his girlfriend around or to take trips to Italy...

or the grossly inflated price Trump is paying for detention centers...

In Salt Lake City, the administration paid almost 50% more than the property appeared to be worth. It was buttssed at $97 million, and the government paid more than $145 million. In Roxbury, New Jersey, one warehouse was buttssed at $62 million, but the Trump administration came in and offered $129 million for it more than double the cost. In Georgia, one of the properties valued last year at $26 million was purchased for $129 million.

the list goes on and on and on...

are you just not aware of these stories...

or does Fox not even run these stories?

I love the people on this board and elsewhere in regards to the war in Iran. Trump has no exit plan. How in God's name do they know. Have they sat in cabinet meetings or been to meeting with the generals. Why would Trump or any high ups involved in this war broadcast our countries strategy or plans. Do you honestly think Trump and his planners said, "let's start bombing Iran and play the rest by ear". Trump could personally cure cancer and these same people would say why didn't he do this in his first term. Again to those Trump haters who do you want running this country, AOC, Hakeem Jeffries, Kamala Harris or why not let Iihar Omar be in charge with Maxine Waters or Jasmine Crockett as vice president?

The fraud uncovered in MN is staggering to me, CA looks really, really bad as well, wait until they do an audit in MA too BTW; trying to compare Patel flying his girlfriend around or taking a trip to Italy is literally apples to hand grenades, the fraud in MN is in the billions and went on for years and sorry, I'm not buying what anyone is selling that they did not know, then Walz had the balls in a speech to throw a shout out to the Somali's who live in MN.......................as he drives off into the sunset with a dump truck full of money that got kicked back to him..............

So what you're saying then is politicians are crooked no matter the party; ok.............and in other news, water is wet.

George...

you sound like you're convinced Walz profited from this or condoned it on his watch...there is no proof of that...

what about CA that looks really, really bad to you?

and what is the story in IL you're referring to?

and the audit in MA too?

there is corruption everywhere there is government money...by both parties...not just blue states...

but again...you only seem aware of the blue states...

honestly...do any of those stories I posted bother you?

Today is Easter Sunday, arguably the most holy day of the year, as you know I'm Greek orthodox, so my Easter is actually next Sunday, but friends of mine invited myself and my girlfriend over for Easter dinner, we're leaving in about 15 minutes and will be gone for the day.

How about if we have ONE day where we don't do this "your party is worse than mine" dance on this forum; actually it's rather ironic as I'm a registered Independent, I don't want my name associated with either party truth be told as they both are dumpster fires.
