Often maligned or overlooked these figures can be a great addition to any collection. Cheap (and the ones sculpted by K&C) are nice figures. They have no comparison with top of the range figures available on the market but they do seem to becoming more collectable as they become rarer.

A few examples from my collection (some mixed with other manufactures) to stir some interest.

I did not know that Del Prado made so many Spanish-American war figures. They look exactly like those sold by Kronzprinz.
Benjamin
They made great figures.

I like the Prussian SYW cuirassier figure. It's a true 54mm, and it's crisply sculpted and cast. But Del Prado mislabeled it. It's an officer, not a trooper. I wish they had produced a trooper, too. But I acquired a mold to cast some, so I can make a set.

Prost!
Brad

Dear Garry

I couldn't agree more with you. Some of them are really great figures. Not just Del Prado but Hachette and Altaya. I attached some photos of mine. Among them 2 of the best - King and Country made - of my collection. One was actually part of the K&C range.
Cheers
Thanasis

A few more examples from my collection
The Foreign Legion pioneer is one my best figs ever and with the legionnaire with the FaMas rifle could part of K&C ceremonial collection. The Black Watch piper is one more great figure. Below with a piper (HF1) from K&C range. Finally the Coldstream Guards Colour Sergeant with some K&C and the Austrian Hungary Hussar. One original, one repainted with dark blue dolman and a 3d one, to be painted in brown dolman.

The 11th Hussars are great figures I have several. Also, if you can find him, Hachette FFL on snow shoes is another great figure.
