Let’s get the Cavs Pistons over with so the Knicks can move onto the finals.
This is gold.

Good for you and Knicks fans, you get a tomato can in the ECF, I've never been one to make victory predictions, it's been 27 years since the Knicks went to the finals, 53 years since they've won an NBA title, which means all of those 20 something morons who spill into the streets of NYC after every playoff win looking to burn down the city have never seen them play in the finals, never mind actually win a title.

Best of luck vs the Cadavers.

It's even funnier the three seed Knicks get HCA; no clue why the NBA seeds teams the way they do, after round one, it should have been Pistons/76er's and Knicks/Cadavers, how the #1 seed played the #4 and the #3 played the #7 is a complete mystery to me, just another reason why the NBA is a dumpster fire.

The Cadavers have a very, very good offense but are terrible defenders, looking forward to KAT and Brunson constantly flopping and grifting for foul calls all series long.

Again, best of luck.

That is..........................awful.

That tire fire of a song aside, I’d give the Knicks are legit chance to beat either team if they’re 100% healthy. They have the size and wing length to match up. Played pretty well against them in regular season as well.

The NBA has a problem on their hands as the Spurs look like they are poised for another long title run; gee, then never catch a break with the lottery..................Robinson, Duncan and now this beanpole.

I had no skin in the game but really enjoyed the Spurs-OKC game. Great basketball. Wemby had a Wilt-like game.

I only watched the last 5 minutes of last night’s game (I was busy watching hockey) but I saw enough to know that the Spurs and Thunder are creating a great rivalry.

As a Spurs fan I have no problem admitting that OKC is just better.
Nobody expects the Spurs to win the non-Wemby minutes, they just can't get blown out when he's on the bench.

Wemby has been on the bench for 29 total minutes in this series, and the Spurs have been outscored by 37 points in that time.

Kornet is -9, -10 and -18 subbing for him.

San Antonio is very good, but they are very reliant on Wemby as a player at this stage.

Great post.

San Antonio’s wins and losses flow through Wemby.

Both offensively and defensively.

That is a huge problem that OKC has found a way to exploit.

I don’t follow the NBA enough to know whether the Knicks are that great or their level of competition in the playoffs has been sub-par?

They were down 2-1 vs the 6 seed Hawks, then proceeded to rip off 10 wins in a row, which is impressive no matter who the competition is.

You play who you play, their march to the finals was vs the 6, 7 and 4 seeds, they avoided the #1 Pistons and the #2 Celtics.

The way they are playing right now, they would have beaten either one of them regardless.

We'll see how they do vs whoever survives from the West.

I have been reading articles about how NY fans think Brunson is the greatest Knick ever even without a championship.

I guess they have never heard of Walt Frazier. .

Which is to be expected considering 99% of current Knicks fans weren't alive the last time they won a championship, it was 53 years ago afterall.

Don't know if they are making a difference or not...
but love watching these Salesian Sisters rooting for the Spurs...
these old girls are having a blast while blessing Spurs players before the game...

gonna be a wild Game 7...

It is a great story.

They have been offered free travel and tickets to attend games in OKC.

They politely turned those offers down stating that they could not leave the children/families that they serve.

Jason…

now that little bit that you just added…is making it a great story.

I’m not a very religious man… the only time you will find me in a church is a wedding or a funeral…

still I admire somebody who gives up some of the pleasures in life whether to serve God or just help others …

and sacrifices things they want… for the pleasure of helping others…

A few thoughts on the Spurs’ Game 7 win:

Beating the best team from the regular season is impressive;

Huge tip of the cap to OKC for not making excuses about injuries or foul calls despite losing, in this day and age that is rare;

If San Antonio loses to the Knicks it will be an upset;

OKC was something like 71-15 vs the league, 4-7 vs the Spurs, the Spurs are a fun, young team that brings it every night.

OKC was pretty banged up and their center was a no show for game 7, thankfully I won't have to watch SGA try to outflop that foul grifter Brunson all series long.
A banged up OKC vs the Knicks would have been a great match up for the Knicks, San Antonio is a nightmare match up for them, they are super athletic, play great defense, have a low post monster in Wemby and can hit 3's when they need to.

As long as Wemby stays out of foul trouble (you know the Knicks are going to goon it up to try to get him into foul trouble), the Spurs should be ok.

Gotta love old friend Luke with the play of game.

Now go and consign NYC to more endless misery.

The Spurs strength besides Wemby is their guard trio of Castle, Harper, and Fox. If the Knicks are going to rely on their smaller players to deal with Castle and Harper, they are going to have a problem.

The Spurs young duo of Harper and Castle are too strong for Brunson, McBride, and Shamut and too quick for their big wings.
