I just bought my first K&C sets in a long time (> 2years). Could not resist DD061 and DD062 as they seemed to be gradually slipping away day by day. Had to get a set of the BAR hedgehogs to go with them of course. And if I were feeling totally out of control with the credit card I'd bid on the DD012 landing craft for sale on Ebay right now. Was not going to collect WWII, was not going to collect WWII, was not going to collect WWII...oh well, I really cannot wait to get these guys home.

First you buy a Cool Sherman Tank and tell yourself it's just One Tank - - then you buy a BBG Winter Grille - and say well one for each WWII Range only - - then you buy a AK Panzer III and say to yourself...I must get some troops t go around this great Tank - - then you realize you have just started three new WWII Ranges !!

The K&C Blackhole - all life being sucked into the darkness ... save meeee, save meeeee !!

Regards from the committed Napoleonic Collector ,

Yeah Ron, it's surely a funny thing. I am already eyeballing at least one of the retired On the Beach DD sets, the BR1 patrol jeep and the new BR1 sets. I have been looking at some of these sets for years and talking myself out of them, but in this case the threat of extinction forced my hand. Both of the sets I have ordered are examples where I really like every one of the four figures included in the set, Y'know...that is not always the case...there is usually one guy in a 3 or 4 figure set I am not crazy about.

Also, BTW that Waterloo companion book is marvelous. :)

Although i like just about anything K&C produce, i must say those on the beach sets are superb, some of Andy's best i'd say.

I knew you would like that WATERLOO book - really a must have for Napoleonic Collectors....and to think we both found it on the pages of Treeforum :D

As for WWII - I blame ROB for all my suffering  He is the one who tempted me into the the Dark World of WWII. It's all his fault - ;) - can't blame myself, can I :p

I admit to encouraging Ron into the dark side a couple of years back, but though we all protest we all know deep down we love this addiction!;)
