Thanks for the feedback guys. I have been looking at some of the mounted figures in pariticular, especially Jeb Stuart, but really they all look great. I'm always toying with doing more ACW stuff (have not bought any in the last 1-2 years) and hadn't looked closely at these before. It's easy to picture a really nice non-combat scenario with 10-12 of the Confederate guys....just something I've been thinking about. Don't suppose y'all have any photos to post? Thanks again.

I collected Conte and Britains ACW a few years ago and feel like getting started again.I like K&C figures but are they 54mm or 60mm?

Hey Mark, you too? It seems like every spring for some reason, my interest in the Civil War resurfaces. I've been watching Gods and Generals and Gettysburg this past weekend for example. There are lots of great ACW figures on the market right now but I sort of get blown away by the magnitude of the conflict, and the number of options. I go from looking at a couple of great sets to needing to accumulate hundreds of guys and get quickly frustrated by the realization that budgets will not allow this to happen.

These would be larger than the Britains and older Conte figures, but would perhaps make for a nice little diorama featuring some great personalities.

I really love the ACW figures - I have a big collection of Old K&C, Britains, and Conte. I wish I had more room

My only complaint about the Confederates of K&C is the shooting figures have "patches" on their pants - which makes it hard to create a firing line - especially when everyone has the same patch on the same knee !

The new Union figures allows the collector to create bigger firing lines - hopefully the Confederates can be a little more plain for larger displays.

I can't watch Gettsyburg or I'll be maxin out the cc.That movie really gets me going,especially when Little Round Top battle scenes start.

I don't collect them myself but as you say some of the individual personality pieces are quite good. I have purchased a couple as gifts for a friend who really enjoys ACW and he really likes them. I can't wait to see the new Union troops up close.
