Who Collects RA - WWII - Russians (1 Viewer)

Here's my Russian diorama.

There are some excellent sets in the Russian range. Yesterday I bought the Anti-Tank gun set (RA010), they are greatly outnumbered by my Winter Germans atm but are fighting bravely.

As for the contribution of the USSR to WWII. You only have to check the high percentage of German losses on the Eastern Front and the continued German retreat to discover they would have beaten the Germans by themselves. Which would not have been a good scenario for Europe.

It should also be noted that the Japanese were more fearful of the Russians invading than further aerial attacks (including nuclear) by the US. The Russians had some scores to settle with the Japanese because of earlier conflicts and I reckon the fighting may have become more bitter than against the Germans. And of course the Russians would not have allowed the Japanese to retain their Emperor.

Thanks alot for the feedback Frank and KV; Frank, I am a huge student of the Eastern Front, thanks for sharing all of those awesome pictures of the dioramas.

Have any of you guys seen the diorama book called "Berlin"; it is incredible, all pictures of various Berlin dioramas built by famous modelers from the far east, they also did another book called "Normandy", I think both are out of print, but you can find them on various websites.

Thanks again for the pictures Frank, awesome stuff.........

I'll keep my eyes open for those books. They sound great.

There is a diorama I saw in a magazine a while back that depicted one of the battles in the Stalingrad factories. Man was that impressive.

Ha what a great line K&C should stay with.With the way K&C are improving the tanks this could be great.So much to offer .Why Andy don't you do more.Simmo.:confused:

Ever seen the one where the T34 collapsed through a street and is laying down in a sewer and the Germans are about to throw grenades and gas down on it, it's incredible. Check out my gallery section on my website www.mmtoysoldiers.com as there is a terrific Stalingrad picture I took at a show here in Boston (the world figure expo) held here three years ago.

Nas, that is RA 04, the early T34 K & C released as part of their Stalingrad range; Ron just sold one of those here on the forum, he bought it off of Ebay about a month ago, so they are out there if you look, it is the T34/76 model, as opposed to the T34/85 for the Berlin series............

i didn't knew it, as i was not yet a 1/30th convert during that time.

my loss i guess..:(

but i'm certainly hopeful K&C will resurrect the eastern Front, seeing how much their tanks have improved..
 
We can only hope; a JS II with the air recognition markings would be stunning.............
