After many months of fighting against the urge to start collecting the desert figures.....My will power has finally ;)deserted me, get it?:D:cool:

But seriously though, I have been trying to avoid buying them for about a year, and with these new British desert releases, I knew there would be no point in trying to avoid it anymore:D:cool:

I bought my first desert set last night:D'The Best of Enemies':DHave liked this set since it came out two years ago:DAnd to accompany that I bought the 'Scaffoldng Set' from the Egyptian line:D

I am going to try to create a little scene with Tommies at a smalll outpost base, with an Ambulance and medics carrying the wounded man to a small tent, and the 'Best Of' set, maybe standing in the middle of the base, with some of the new 'Tank Riders' standing and sitting on the scaffolding, and the other tank rider sitting at a tables and chairs set:D

Hah , I have the same problem, but continuing to resist..barely, the crusader and the stretcher party with the ambulance are all K&C at the top of their game and then you had the Horch as well. I figure on holding out another little while (having fun at the moment with the pacific and setting up trains with K&C stuff:D) but was sorely tempted by the latest desert releases. Have the Tunisian Tiger and a few AK and ANZAC figures but staying strong for now:D:D

I know,That crusader is cool. Had my eye on the Vickers too. Help I am falling onto the Desert War and I can't stop buying!

Even if you don't collect NA i think that Ambulance and Crusader would be so hard to resist,i wonder if this might be the case for one or two of our Napoleonic brothers;)

The first K&C vehicle I bought back in 1996 was the desert Hanomag. I bought the original Afrika Corps sets when they were released in September, 1997 (except for the Kubelwagon, which took me a couple of years to find), and all the wood, metal & resin 8th Army, LRDG & SAS vehicles as they came out. I also bought every desert diorama K&C ever sold. I guess you could say I surrendered without firing a shot . . . :D

Ron if you will just help us buy up all the WWII product it should free up some production space at the factories for additional NAPOLEONICS! :D:
