Who Collects RA - WWII - Russians (1 Viewer)

I have all the Berlin sets. There is a lot of interest in the Russians and hope more are on the way, but so much more can be done with the Eastern Front. Spanish Blue Division, Italians (think winter camo John), Finns etc. Hopefully we live long enough to see some of it. I started beating the drum about two years ago - JS2!

On the dios, they are great. One thing that is hard to reproduce is all the debris that I see in the pictures from bombed out buildings. Almost total destruction in many German towns.

I have some Russians. This is not a great scene but you do what you can with the space you have.

Ron, since you got this thread going, how about showing us some of yours :)

My setup looks a lot like Brad's minus the T34.

the "last stand" SS officer with his pistol pointed on his right hand, and his dying comrade on his left, is one of the best figures K&C had ever made. My favourite.

I second you, not because I like Berlin 1945, but because I think they have the best poses and uniforms of the WWII.

I would like to mention that I am surprise... to see how we respond for this thread, many pictures, ideas and a lot of enthusiasm concerning the Fall of Berlin series.

Thanks again for the posts, keep coming.

Rod.

A tip on re-creating rubble: Use street gravel. You can look at your own curbside, and collect pieces of various sizes. You can paint it, too, or leave it in natural colors.

Prost!
Brad

I think this shows, contrary to what the powers that be may think that there is some interest out there in the Eastern Front.

Great point Brad, I hope more releases follow at some point........

How about something from the ice battles on Lake Ladoga?

From Absolute War:

On the ice the Russians used small, lightly armoured craft armed with machine guns, called 'Aerosani' - 'aerosleighs'. These ran on skis, and were powered with aircraft engines with propellors at the back.

...the Russian built pillboxes from blocks of ice, cemented rock hard by pouring water over them.

Where can I get one of these?

Mad looking vehicle, wonder what speed it could do, looks like something from James Bond:D Just got the German T-34 which is quite nice and the next nearest thing in the absence of more russian armour! Seen before people complimenting the cammo , and it does look well, similar to panzer myer. Nice piece for the eastern front:)

That is one of my favorites. The camo and just level of detail all over as well as the tracks.

This morning receive this 8 guys from treefrogtreasures.com :

Where's the Ivan holding the Red flag? :D

That's another great set too.

Any T-34 support for the 8 soviet comrades? :)
