Hi Guys,

Thought I’d take a few minutes of your time to reply to some more recent posts…

1) US Airborne Sets
At present we have no plans to add more 82nd or 101st to our Normandy ’44 series. Over the last few years K&C has produced a wealth of US Airborne figures. I think it’s time to give’em a rest and produce other GI’s like, for instance, our recent very well-received ‘Big Red One’ guys.

2) Poll for Greek Figures
By all means go ahead with your poll however K&C has no intention of producing any Greek figures… Spartans… Evzoni… Kretans… or any others. We’ve already got a huge backlog of, I believe, other great ideas that we’re already working on… Sorry!

3) BBA15(SL)General Inspection
The fact that there are still some available is great news… especially for the collector on a limited budget who cannot get everything they want as soon as it comes out. Treefrog are one of several major K&C dealers who will order a wee bit more of certain items to ensure that they can take care of the less well-off collector a little way down-the-line. Bravo! And thank you Pete and Shannon.

4) New FoB Bedford Truck
John’s latest criticism comes as no great surprise… He does not read or look at the photos and certainly doesn’t listen to anyone else’s comments.

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

I figured as much that we wouldn't see anymore 101st or 82nd for awhile. Thats okay gives me time to enjoy the ones I have. Besides hopefully there are some plans in the not so distant future for more fallschirmjagers :D. Who am I kiddin anyway I really don't care what comes out in the future since there is usually something every month that I wanna p/u. Keep up the good work Andy!

Well that rules out the much requested and hoped for Telly Savalas figure for the new Escape From Athena tie in release then. Too bad. That was a great movie and to think it was all based on a true story. (Loosely based the Germans did actually invade Greece)

How many of you would like a convoy of these Bedfords?;).I'd like to use them in a Normandy scenario, but i'm guessing as its an early war version it wouldn't work??

And by default I am certain this rules in the much anticipated new Northwest Frontier/Great Game range.

You must have won the lotto this week Rob to be able to afford a convoy of these.:)
Seriously they look pretty cool to go with my FOB Brits but are a bit too expensive for me unfortunately.

Oh yes he will because he is standing right here looking at me. :)

On a related note, I'm about halfway through The Man Who Would Be King and will finish it tonight. Also watched the 1960's version of Charge of the Light Bde last night and was convinced that was a young Anthony Hopkins playing Capt Nolan and not David Hemmings as the credits claim.

Isn't your apparition a bit smelly..?? :p:p. Flash Harry died during the early years of last century I understand. 1917 I seem to recall.
Is that Kipling's "The Man Who Would Be King" or the movie of the same name which is absolutely brilliant by the way. Can't remember the Author, but there's a book out there called "Josiah the Great"....an American NWF character on whom (I believe) Kipling based his story.
Naaa...sorry, it was David right enough. Another fantastic movie IMHO, in the way it portrays the yawning gap in the social system at the time.

You know, all kidding aside, I'm beginning to BELIEVE that a new NWF range is actually gonna happen. Can hardly wait. Think I'll get rid of a lot of my WWII collection just to make room for the new displays.

Cheers :)

You know, a couple of personality figures of Sean Connery and Michael Caine as Danny and Peachy would be pretty cool....

Now wouldn't that be nice. More chance of Conte doing them than K&C though, I would think.

Rob

He had a heart attack whilst playing billiard at his club I believe

I honestly can't remember if it was in 1917 Rob. I'll have to consult my spirit guide, Mr MacDonald Fraser for a confirmation. Maybe Louis can help out here.
As to how the bounder "popped his clogs" I would suggest he was running away at the time, either from some irate suffragettes, or, and probably including, an equally irate cuckolded husband.

Cheers :)
