Sorry, but I fail to see the attraction in a set that has echo's of events, that have actually happened, in modern day Iraq.

I like this set also Ron. I plan on using it as a central point to a Battle of Hattin aftermath diorama I plan to do in the future. This is one of my favorites which I just ordered.

I can understand to a point. But I do believe that this particular set was made to depict what happened to the Templars after the Battle of Hattin. They were all beheaded. Cruel as it might seem to us today, that's an historical fact. To collect this set and to like it is no different than collecting and being fascinated with WWII Nazi Germany sets, French & Indina War scalping sets, etal. JMHO -

Mike - I agree with 100%

You can't change history - and I highly doubt that a Toy Soldier Figure from the Middle Ages can viewed as a commentary on todays fight with terrorism.

Harry, Youre a great guy - but, this we disagree on.

Actually - Andy has done a terrific job on being very balanced with his figure sculpts on this range - each side has an edge to it. Really, do think this will be one of his best sellers as the years go by.

I just wish we could get a Castle Wall or Tower out of him ;)

Ron

Here are my favorite four CRUSADERS ! :D :D

Hello Mike,

Are you thinking about your diorama around what happened to the Knights Templars Grand Master, Brenard de Tremblay and 50 Knights?

I'm thinking of doing this one.

Yes I am Paul. The minute I saw this set I envisioned the diorama. My basic idea is: Gruesome Trophy set in forground, the Mounted Saladin figure and his guards on a small rise looking on. I think that would make a nice small desert diorama "the victors and vanquished of Hattin"

I am working on a large (72" x 30") diorama right know using some of my imagination for the Siege of Acre. In fact I am working on the frame work right now - just taking a short break. I am taking pictures of it as I proceed and plan on showing the pics in several posts on the Build A Diorama thread.

I can't wait to see it

I'm compelled to do the same, as GMofKT Bernard & I share the same sir name

Those are very nice indeed. Also some of the other Saracens, especially the mounted ones, in the line are most impressive to me.

Right you are! The color and sculps of the Saracens is fantastic! Still hoping they will come out with mounted archers firing.

Well it certainly is different Ron. I have noticed that some of your favourite figures seem to be of dead people, you're not KV by any chance are you ??? :D

A few of my favorites:

Way too funny, but maybe they're practicing aerial bombardment, one at a time! Ron, love to see the collection, especially set up on display. I would be interested in some overall shots of the office, purely for self-inspiration. Mike

Yes Ron! Lets see a few photos of your office! I bet its really something!

I agree, but I also refuse to collect any pieces from the Saracen range. Just

my opinion, in view of the worlds current situation.

Well on more than one level, this line shows that not much has changed in over a thousand years.:( Nonetheless, this was a colorful, if tragic, period of history which certainly merits collection. I hope KC keeps the line open for quite a while.

I first have to spend more time in the office !

Really, been busy on Capitol Hill and my townhouse is 10 Blocks from the Capitol - you can see the Dome from my front yard - I do a lot of work from my office in my home.

I will try to remember to bring my camera and take some snaps ! :D

Not wanting to start a big ruckus here (or have to moderate myself) but isn't the word "Crusader" still a dirty word to the Arabic peoples?
