I just received WS118 "moving forward" today and although the detail is excellent I must say this is not at all 1:30 scale......it is definitely 1:32 or less....These figures are very small compared to the stretcher party EA028 just received and are small compared to all other K/C soldiers......Was this an error on K/C's part.......This is a very notable inconsistency in scale.......so much so that these figures cannot be placed next to other previous figures.......Can anyone add some light on this matter? Is this the "new" scale for K/C......:(

I was wondering the same thing. I really like these sets and plan on buying them. Maybe I need to check them out first.

I was just comparing the sets after I read your post and to me there really isn't a huge difference. I have this set s/u along side the Ws103 and I think it looks fine. Could just be me but maybe because all the figures are hunched over it makes them look a little deceiving in size. Never the less if there is a difference I still would not pass on the set since it pays alot of attention to detail and gives the collector some unique poses.

are the size differentiation apparent in the WS119 and WS120?

I ordered Ws119 a little late give me a day or 2 and I will let you know. As for Ws120 I passed on this set so I wouldn't know.

Yeah if you look at your king tigers or your winter tiger they are a smaller scale compared to the tunisian tiger. Check them out for your self.

Sorry but I do not know.....I also have these on order....but there is DEFINTELY a size/scale issue here.......as I said in my previous post the detail and the poses are excellent but they are closer to 1:32 scale without a doubt........just put them against the newer fallschirmjagers; even the new EA stretcher party is much larger......I guess they will have to be displayed strategically so as not to notice the scale problem.......My main concern here is that K/C will start to produce this size regularly......this will create inconsistency with prior releases.....:confused:

I'm looking forward to checking out WS119 in person in the next week or two. Hopefully it's not a case of more money for less metal...

I was studying these in a shop display cabinet. First of all I'd say these are really well painted figures and the 2 sets in action poses make an excellent 5 man scene. I'd even go so far as to say these are K&C's best painted German infantry to date.
However on looking at them they do seem quite small at first glance. My initial thought was that they were on a smaller scale but as all 5 poses are either kneeling or crouching it's very difficult to judge them, bear in mind that if you put them next to fallschirmjagers and brit paras then the airborne units have a lot more gear to bulk them out. These hedgerow fighters are more lean and mean and swift moving.
Just my opinion anyway. I like them a lot and will most likely buy them when I get a bit of spare cash.

As K&C UK refuse to open a London shop with me as general manager and stock controller(the term Dracula in a blood bank springs to mind!:D)i am going to have to pop in to Tradition of London this week and check these out.As James says the painting/poses look very good,i just want to see how they'd compare to my other D Day German figs.

You will find them to be 1:32 scale as I have *****sed.....If they are placed next to the kneeling Fallschrimjager figures the size discrepancy will be obvious (not due to figures carrying gear etc)........That being said the poses and paint are excellent.......

I think the french resistance fighters are also 1:32 or close.. Just had a look at them in flesh 1 week ago. There's also the typical smaller guy in a vehicule than the guy standing next to it. However I have found that K&C is most consistent in scale in WWII and that's a good thing for us WWII collector & do they make the best WWII figure for the dollar !! :)

Cheers,

Alex

Well I collect 1/32:), and might buy some of these new K & C:D, however I feel bad for you people that love K & C with their original scale.
