Green tutu in the planning?
Looks like a nice change. I understand you can get a nice ballerina pink by mixing lime green, olive green and emerald green, so you should be laughing. ;)

Simon all joking aside ;) I will be adding plenty of red to your mixture above to get the right shade of Cream. :D

The green tutu turned out a nice cream colour after all! :p :D

Sharp detailing you've got there Jeff. Running low on green then?

Scott,

Lol :D I'm not sure how Konrad is intending to display these in his FIW collection? :D

Jeff

Wow, now I am home for about 18 hours and only just discovered this thread. Shame on me
Looking good too, Jeff. Those are fine castings.
Well, they don't really go with the FIW, that's right, but then again all the British and French Troops, or the Rangers and the Indians, they all would probably appreciate to see the Ballerina between battles :)

It's only cause Jeff hasn't managed to clear the US stocks of paint as yet. Give it time, my friend, give it time....;)

Talking of Green paint .......there isn't going to be any in this little painting project: Sob! :( :p :D

Here we have the latest.

Jeff

You make painting look like fun. This has probably been brought up but can you paint them matte and then spray them with a gloss coat like someone like me that has mostly matte paints.

Alex,

I would imagine that is precisely what some collectors (and some manufacturers) do already, as this gives a vastly larger choice of colours and shades that can’t be obtained using gloss paints. I only have 12 different Humbrol paints from which I mix other colours as required.

I prefer the gloss enamels from Humbrol as they give a deep rich finish…….nice and shiny! Having said that I don’t have any gloss figures in my collection only matt.

Thanks for taking a interest btw.

Jeff

Something different about you too  :D.........What happened to Winnie?

Thanks

Jeff

Served his term, lost the election.
Besides, however cool Winnie with a Thompson is, the Sandford Police in mirrored Aviators has him pipped :):p

Well this little project is now completed and will join Konrads other figures (in the cabinet to dry) whilst I get on with the Indians.

Made a nice change to paint these and thanks for looking.

Regards

Jeff

Jeff - Great job.. I may have to get these figures for myself and paint them.. My daughter would love the ballerina.

Well done,

Jim

Nice work Jeff on these figures. That is one my wife would like. She has a colored book on that story which she treasures and puts it out by my figures at times till I cover it with an Osprey book.:D I still got about 3 -six packs of Humbrol green.:p Been in my tool drawer for all the figures I never finish. John
