In the short run we need some Frenchies, I bought the German infantry, but didn't like the looks of the Scottish releases so my diorama is very one sided. Germans shooting at noone After that would like to see some Turks, Austrians, and Russians. Course gas masks too...

Heres to hoping for more WWI before the end of the year!

Let's get this KING & COUNTRY WWI range moving and head into 1915 !

1915 saw some major turning points in World War I :

1) First Use of Mustard Gas

2) Unrestricted Submarine Warfare Begins

3) Italy joins the Allies

4) Allies have first major battles with Turkey


What does everyone else think ? Time to get this war going ?

Good point Ron, I even suggest later war 1917-18.

Would very much like to have some French at Verdun.Maybe in mud stained uniforms and Gas masks?.The war would certainly not been won without them,the Brits,Americans,Russians,Australian's,New Zealanders,South Africans,Canadians etc.Right did i leave anyone out?

For me WWI is about the Battle of the Somme. The other campaigns do not really interest me that much. Some of the colonial campaigns such as Mespotamia and East AFrica would be interesting though, as well as Gallipoli.

I agree wholeheartedly on the East Africa Campaign Ron. I'd also love to see the Middle East as well.
Just a simple question though. Why do you consider a "Paris Taxi to the Front" should be an SL set?
Just curious.

I think to get the real feel of the "rush to the front" in the TAXI - you need to have it cost a little more. Also if Andy's going to make it - it needs to sell - by making it a SL offering it will surely sell out and that would make it appealing to K&C.

Hey - don't get me wrong - I would like a regular offering piece, but times are a changing and we have to accept the restrictions of the market.

Here's how it will break down then:
1914: 2007-2008
1915: 2009-2010
1916: 2011-2012 (world ends somewhere here)
1917: 2013-2014
1918: 2015-2016

So Doughboys won't show up until the year 2014. Makes you kind of appreciate how late to the party they were. I think that's a good thing, it will leave lots of time to give attention to the Canadians - best army in the world in 1917/1918!

Hopefully, some tanks will show up.
