Didn't someone go the last time, and said that there really weren't any toy soldiers to be found?

Am I recalling correctly, too, that Redman440 never responded in the thread to any questions about the show?

I may be mistaken, our memories are tricky things.

OK, I checked the older threads from Redman440 about this show, from December 2007 and 2008. I correct myself, he did respond to one post to the thread from 2007. And though a couple of us here in the Lehigh Valley posted before the show to express interest, none of us posted afterwards, at least in these threads. I'll have to look at the Show Report threads to see if anyone did go.

OK, no, it doesn't look like anyone from the forum has ever visited this show.

Not saying good or bad, just, unknown.

Excellent, a customer testimonial! ;)

I'm curious to go, it's just that there's usually something else going on, so I haven't been able to get to any of them.

It's more of a general antique toy show, isn't it? I do want to see it sometime, to compare it to the Allentown Antique Toy Show, which is held over at the Fairgrounds, the same weekend as the Hackensack show. That is more of a high-end antique toy show, and several known toy soldier dealers also attend.

I'm curious about the quality at this show, because I'm familiar with Merchant's Square, where it's held, and while there are some relatively nice antiques and collectibles to be found there, it's really more of a better class of indoor flea market. Similar to some of the places down in Adamstown, for example, or over at Lambertville. Your everyday, run-of-the-mill antiques and collectibles.

Thanks for posting back with your impression, Jagdpanther, prosit!

Brad,
I would have sworn that you had attended:eek: I think it is general antiqueing and such, with some related type old toy soldiers from pre-WWII. It would be great to go if there were a lot of TS dealers, I guess I'll wait till J. Hillstead has his open-house. I'm going to make a big effort to attend, since I have multiple G-2 sheets open;)
