Hi all, I was looking at the J.G.minature site and thinking if I could use the seawall and bunker wall dio they have side by side to create a large K&C D-Day dio?? have any of you all used any J.G. minature stuff to do a large scale dio??...Sammy

I have two of the JG beaches set up and they work great with K&C. I passed on the bunker at the top of the cliff and the other piece with the sandbags at the top. I think scale wise those two pieces are too small. The beach and seawall sections do seem to work scale wise. Hope this helps.

Andy

I believe the scale is still 1/32 and not 100% ok for KC

(But I recommand the Battle of the Bulge JG releases for KC)

Sammy, if you check my albums (Dioramas) you'll see these JG items «in action» with Britains figures, as you know a little smaller than K&C. Especially tha sandbag part would really be too small for K&C figures, as already pointed out.

Regards,
Paulo

Sammy,
The majority of the JG items are 1/32nd scale. John has started a range of 1/30th scale scenics specifically for K & C, the Bulge and Arnhem display pieces as well as the Arnhem dutch style house in particular, which work very well with K & C as a result...................

And this JG stuff is very nice.I wonder if now they may make some beach items to go with K&C's latest D Day wave?.

Rob

They already have beach items which I'm sure would go well with K & C. They are:

M-52 D Day Beach Section
M-52a D Day Foreshore Section
M-52b D Day Cliff Section with Machine Gun Nest
M-52c D Day Beach Section with Long Dune - this would work well with M-52
M 52d D Day Day Foreshore Section with Sea Wall
M 52 D Day Cliff with Concrete Bunker (not pictured here)

These do look good Brad, thanks for posting.I hope sometime JG may make 'Rommels Asparagus' and the Belgian gates beach obstacles. They already do the Tank traps which are cool.

I think that the Landing Craft and the new British sets will create an interest and go well with the older ones (2005 and 2006 time frame). You could build a scene (may not be completely realistic but would look great) with the new things, the Beach Master set, Bren Gun Carrier, Staghound, Churchill, British Sherman, maybe some of the FoB troops (if you're not a stickler). That, plus whatever Andy has in mind for the Canadian troops (Staghound was a Canadian issue) and you could have a heck of a D Day scene.

Absolutely Brad,i think all these will work well together in a beach scene. Also they will look good in a scene behind the beaches, Bocage etc.I am especially looking forward to these new figures with the Sherman and Churchill.

These are all in the wrong scale for KC

I think with a sand dune, it probably won't make that much difference. I have actually seen K & C figures on these in the past and they seemed to work well.

I agree for those tiles, but not the ones with a bunker on it.

(Big fan of JG)

JG make a lot of good stuff.I like their Tank traps, grass clumps, barrels and boxes etc.The rubble they produce is also very nice, what with JG,Hudson and Allen,Build-a-rama,we are getting a wide choice in this area now.
