Pre ordering the D Day stuff? (1 Viewer)

I picked up all the new DD sets and they are outstanding. Collectors will be pleased. The faces are quite interesting and everything is well sculpted. Just a super job :)

That's great. Looking forward to getting mine on Saturday at the Toronto Toy Soldiers Show,

Terry

Now KC has to release some rangers for Point D'hoc to have all the beaches covered... :)

K and C should release a few more Commonwealth personality figures like Allenbrooke etc.
Almost every minor functionary lackey, office bearer etc in the SS has had a figure made by now so hopefully the good guys will get their look in as well.

There is an Allenbrooke figure in the EA Churchill figure. However, some figures like Allenbrooke, Dempsey (British Second Army) or Crerar (Canadian First Army) would be welcome. However, for now, particularly with the Canadians coming next month, I think we're pretty content.

It's well too expensive for me:eek:From £80.00 for 3 British paras, all in standing postions, to £100.00 for 3 in sitting positions overnight?

I think I might have finally gone off King and Country for good:(

Never thought that could ever happen!

Scott,

100 GBP works out to almost $160 US. However, in the US that set would be $95, quite a difference. Why don't you order from a US dealer like Treefrog, which doesn't charge for shipping overseas over a certain amount.

You would wind up doing better.

That does sound very expensive. Do all the British dealers charge those prices? I would be surprised as they are available from US Dealers (Treefrog), the Canadian Dealer or even K&C at $95 for a 3 figure set.

Not if he gets slapped with the customs/import duty Brad :(

Britains prices are higher on everything, houses, cars, food, smokes, beer Thats why my family don't live there anymore LOL

I just looked at the prices on King & Country UK. I am truly shocked. It is way worse than taxes in Canada. At the prices in England, I might not be collecting, and if I was, it would be on a very much reduced basis. Those prices are about double those in Canada!

I meant to mention that and it would need to be factored in but it still has to be less expensive than the UK.

Any second, I expect to receive a torrent of rock hard Mars bars come flying at my head from across the Atlantic ;)

It is the deep fried Mars Bars that really hurt. Yes, the Brits do eat them!:D

Thats more a scot thing. Yes the brits do pay alot more for stuff than alot of the western world.

Toy Soldiers France is also cheaper. A $95 set here weighs in at $118 (pre custom).

Yes, we have lots of nasty little taxes to pay  that's why we call it Rip-Off Britain! :(
